Snowball Mining Hardware Update — Xilinx FPGAs and Updated Hashrate + Manufacturer Update: Partnership with Gowin Semiconductor
As the model has been tested multiple times with recent builds and continues to prove to be successful with Xilinx equipment, Snowball Mining has placed the first order with Gowin Semiconductor to continue improving mining efficiency. Gowin Semiconductor is a leader in OEM manufacturing of FPGA equipment, incorporate highly programmable logic and high-quality FPGA synthesis flow. The lead-time for delivery and set-up of the first rigs with the new hardware is end of August, 2018.

Miners on the move! QTS welcomes Snowball Mining: Update / Roadmap
A look at the inside of a datacenter at QTS.On August 27th, Snowball Mining will send its current inventory of 1422 ASIC miners to free up capacity in the current facility for testing and set-up of new generation custom-built FPGA mining solutions. The lead-time for having the ASICs online and broadcasting is 4 days after shipment and the expected date for going live is September 1st.

The FPGA mining SBM is launching is a step in the right direction in my opinion. Mining business is a highly competitive one and SBM seems to have the right answers.
