This is great news and I think it was inevitable for a computer company to embrace bitcoin.

This is great news . I will give it a try here in UK next month.

Not too worried about Section 75 protection then?

Personally I'd never use Bitcoin for something like this. The protection credit cards offer you is just too good to pass up.

You don't need protection to be honest when you're dealing with Dell.

To be honest i didnt even know they weren't available in the UK all this time lol.  Would be interested in using them with BTC though, always found their computers of a very good standard.  Support and refunds always top service.

Awesome news as has been said, now we just need the price to react and Dell to hold their bitcoin revenue.

thats a great news but for only who lives in uk and caneda and i am sick of this crap if you are providing a feature then why not for all ?

Yeah, it's quite annoying ineed.

For some reason companies think it's better to roll out their payment options country by country.

Allow every one to pay with Bitcoin instead of only a select group of countries..  Undecided

It will also give them a better view of which country is the leader in Bitcoin payments. They can gain so much useful information.

They should accept worldwide... thats the point of BTC isnt it.

I have seen no public announcement of how much sales Dell have made, since they accepted Bitcoin as a payment method.  Huh

The fact that they expanding it into the UK / Canada regions can be one of two things :

1. The sales was poor and they want to expand it to areas where there are more income potential.
2. The sales was average and further expansion would improve sales figures.

What Bitcoin payment processors are they using? Not BitPay?

They use Coinbase.

They're not obligated to provide any announcement re BTC sales.

It's good news and all and I'm glad they're accepting it but Dell is ridiculously overpriced. There are a couple of better options to buy a custom computer in the UK that I'd rather use, but Dell is huge company so hopefully it'll get some free promotion for bitcoin.

Sooner or later, a man who wears two faces forgets
