I think it is a great idea. It is not fool proof but getting a verified DEV status would help mitigate some risk and if people are still playing the lottery with anonymous revs, you have done what you can.

As long as people are greedy and want to make quick buck , scams like will keep on surfacing. Miners don't care about the coin , they just mine whatever they can from which they can make profit and then move to another. So idea seems pretty vague.

People just need to do research before investing, if they invest in a scamcoin and they later lose a lot, then it's their fault.

Soulution to problem: Don't buy , invest, mine , trade or have anything to do with coins with 'anon-0-devs'. Now that I have narrowed down your coin selection to about 10, enjoy profits. Have a good day.

Sometimes you come to a new thread with new coin - clearly scam, but a bunch of enthusiastic post, too much GH/s, large volumes on the exchange at the start. Until people stop to participate in it - base will not help.

SINCE BTT IS NOT GOING TO FIX THIS ISSUE..
Looking for some peeps to team up and fix this problem.. There are several things we can do but I like the idea of creating an organization that DEV's can register at to verify their ids. We can issue them seals or some sort to use on their website and ANN threads.
We can create a public DB to verify these seals/coins/devs.
Sure.. not all devs will want to be identified. But some of us honest DEV's will not mind.
If you interested in teaming up on this project let me know I would like to start on it ASAP if we can get the support of the community here at BTT
