Countries and central banks have regulations, just because you have a bank account, doesn't mean It can be used anywhere also you have to prove your identity by sending documents etc.

If you're using an exchange, you'll have to be from a particular country yes otherwise you could use Western Union, Skrill, PayPal (I guess not supported in Turkey) or other online platforms to trade with individuals instead of companies.

That's why I suggested selling your bitcoin to a Turkish exchange so you get your money in your local currency and faster probably. If you could give in details what you're trying to achieve exactly, I would probably be able to help more.

I know that most of exchanges don't support Turkey, probably because you don't have SEPA and that's why I found you local ones that deal with your local currency which I believe is much more suitable.

So how do I do it then ?

Can anyone please explain how the exchange works, my understaning so far is as follow:

First you get a wallet in which you store your btc

To buy btc you can do it by debit or credit card ( high fees on credit )

Then you can sell them or store them as investment.

My question is:

Does it matter from which country I live in to buy them ? Are there exchanges for only particular countries ? Or some covers many but not all.

Does it matter from which country I intend to sell them ? ( To convert my btc to the local currency of that country,my example is Turkey )

Does the BTC works in the same way as once the BTC are in your wallet you can sell them and convert it into cash then send it wherever you like.

Sorry I am new to this and as I said previously, in the event of converting any future BTC to Turkish Lira what do I need to do in order to avoid having my BTC restricted to be converted to the USD only for example.

Hi,

Sorry if this has been asked before, but no answer was give.

Is it possible to buy bitcoins then deposit it in cash into a Turkish bank account ? I want to transfer money from US account to Turkish account this way, is it possible?

Also any idea from where to start, I am interested in BTC and wondering which website, forum I can find good information, I know this is a good place, but I want to explore more. Cheers

A good site for buying Bitcoin is livecoin.

I managed to find these two exchanges[1][2]. Both allow buying and selling using your bank account and from a quick search, it looks like they are both reputable but you may want to ask more about them.

Alternatively, you could trade with Turkish people through LocalBitcoins or link your Bank account to Skrill and exchange your BTC to Skrill so you can withdraw.

Does it mean that if I want to trade in Turkish Lira then it needs  to be with [1] https://www.paribu.com/#/
[2] https://www.btcturk.com/ and those are the only one that can be linked to my Turkish Bank account ? Or can I link my Turkish account and deposit money by trading wherever I want ?

What I am confused about it, that despite BTC is virtually online with no borders, there is still some barriers with the countries.

Ya, simply sell your coins to turkish people via LocalBitcoin. Its usually very fast and plain simple and no need to register your bank account at an exchange.
