Both desktop and laptop gives us what we need in terms of using it but i think desktop is far more useful to me when it comes to doing multi tasking and yes i have laptop too but i only used it when i travel around my place and goes somewhere else because laptop is easy to carry unlike desktop you can't carry it alone.

Desktop or Laptop?Why?

It depends upon the usage. If you want something for gaming I prefer desktop. Desktops are designed with separate components, so if ever there's a problem in one of it, it won't affect the other. While for laptops,  they are good for some office stuffs or travel get aways. Simply because they are handy.

A laptop. A desktop is only nice if you are home a lot and like to be tied to one setting. For someone who does full-time crypto-trading the flexibility of a laptop cannot be beat.

Desktop or Laptop?Why?
Laptop for portability, or desktop if you need raw compute power. Most people however dont need  the kind of raw compute power that a desktop provides, unless they are using it as a specialist gamin rig or for VR or some other specialist use.

If its just general browsing, email, etc, etc have you considered a tablet?

I think it depends on how you use the device.
The desktop computer is more powerful and practical than the laptop, but the laptop is easy to navigate and load.

even though laptop cost more than desktop i still prefer it since i am using it for my presentation and its gives me comfortability and convenience. i can play some rpg games even im in bed i just use a small table  Grin
I agree. Using laptop is way more convenient than using a desktop computer. Right now, I am using my laptop and I'm using it while I am laying down on my bed. I am very much relaxed whenever I use it than using my desktop computer. You can bring your laptop wherever you want because you can just put it inside your backpack.

Laptop!
It's portable and for me personally way more useful, because I don't play Videogames (which would be the main argument for Desktop).
At home I am using a second monitor, so basically no disadvantage towards desktop! Smiley

But I still prefer desktop more because of the monitor size and placement from where you sit.

laptop
because is fleksible not like pc Undecided

I will definitely choose a laptop because aside from the fact that they have the same specifications as desktop computers, what gives them an edge compared to the other is that you can bring them wherever and whenever you want. Laptop is not also bulky compared when you bring a pc. And you will look like a fool if you bring a pc with you outdoors just to do some works or what.

I'd have a desktop. I mean it's pure unadulterated power. I mean you can actually lessen your stress with it especially when typing. I mean you can press with your heart's content with a mechanical keyboard, more so with a gaming mechanical keyboard

I like to use a PC for gaming because it's hard to get a comparable laptop and it would be awkward to play on. It's difficult to use a laptop for a long time as the screen should really be further from your eyes and it doesn't have the same cooling abilities. However, as someone else mentioned, being able to use a laptop without a power source is very useful

My experience is that desktop last 8 to 10 years. And laptops break earlier 6 or 7 years.
Hard drives die at 4 to 5 years usually so you will need to replace anyway. Battery on my laptops were good for 3 years, then died. Still work great plugged.

It depend on your use. If you use it for gaming, video editing for work or anything with heavy use, I suggest you buy a desktop. It is easy to upgrade when needed, easy to replace and fix broken parts,  easy to disassemble. But if you only gonna use it for work, gonna bring it to work of school, gonna do paper works ans easy stuffs only, I suggest you buy a laptop, for convenience and easy to carry.

Laptop if you travel often and need to carry it anywhere.

Desktop if just sit in your sweet home and need a better spec. Laptop's spec is less than computer because laptop is a portable computer. Laptop can be broken if you let it fall from desk. But computer will not be broken because you put it under floor and it is more easy to maintain, upgrade, and clean. Desktop can be use to mine with GPU and has a better PSU unlike laptop. Desktop is better for gaming also.

Nowadays most laptops are nearly as powerful as desktop computers. Unless you have specific needs, you can basically accomplish anything on a laptop that you could on a desktop. Buying a laptop + a monitor for home use, is much more cost-effective than buying a desktop machine.

Desktop or Laptop?Why?

well, personally I like dekstop. but I'll try to explain more. ok, choosing between a laptop and desktop can be a difficult decision. If portability in not a big issue then desktop is the best choice for you. Here is the list of reasons why a desktop PC is always better than a laptop:

1. Performance:
In general, any electronic device gets heated up due to the processes that take place inside their internal components. These need to be cooled either with the help of an air cooling or liquid cooling system to keep them from burning out. The laptop’s motherboard on which all of the components are mounted is enclosed in a smaller framework with lesser number of fans for cooling. This leads to over heating when a large number tasks or heavy load is applied to the processor. This limitation is overcome by the desktop computer’s larger framework and cooling system with more number of fans for air cooling.
2. Easy to upgrade:
Increasing the size of your RAM or adding new  PCI cards and IDE disks requires a larger motherboard and more number of slots for expansion. In a desktop PC, it is very easy as the size of the motherboard doesn’t matter much. In a laptop, the motherboard is fitted in to fixed framework or chassis. Thus it limits the size of the motherboard as the laptops need to be smaller and thinner which leads to the limiting of space to fit in new memory drives in them.
3. Repair:
Repairing a desktop computer is much easier than laptop. The hardware can be easily purchased off the shelf of any local computer retail store for desktop while it is difficult and finding a replacement part often requires calling the computer manufacturer or ordering from another online site.

Desktops are optimal choices for graphic intensive Performance and grapich .

Totally depends on your work,
Do you want it to carry from one place to other than go for the laptop if not then what kind of work you want to do?
If it is for high usage then the laptop is not recommended as it takes more expenses than desktop.
For light usage, Laptop is best.

Build a desktop if you're just gonna use it for gaming because it's much cheaper to build a gaming desktop rather than buy a low end gaming laptop. If you're planning to work and play at the same time, might as well buy a gaming laptop with high end specs so you can play and travel around with it.

Depends on your job I'd say. If you're a student, travel a lot or value mobility go for a laptop.

depends. laptops are mobile, if you travel or use it outdoors, in the garden, or in other rooms/bedroom-then it takes the cake. Desktop is more powerful and cheaper, doesnt break that often (hinges, screens etc), doesnt need to be cleaned that often. Good if you use it stationary and own your house so dont need to move, and dont travel(much) or travel without pc.
