Why not join Devcoin and contribute your expertize? Coins are international in outlook and is difficult to be restricted to a certain locality. Now is the best time given the worst performance of the Indian currency.
Try connecting with Nilam Doctor, I know that he is working on an Alt-coin initiative. He would be the best to advice as he has his feet wet in it.

What is your coin proposal? How is it going to be unique? What methods in place to market the coin for miners and to ensure that there is no 51% attack.
