By the way, what is this anti-harrasment-policy ? Was there any harrasment in previous bitcoin workshops ?

I don't know of any specific harassment at Bitcoin workshops --

Andreas asks for this at anything he agrees to speak at.

From what I understand it has been a problem in the past in certain other tech / open source events.  Andreas has taken a lead on this to make sure the problem doesn't become a common occurrence in Bitcoin.   I think by him mentioning it a couple times and asking for this policy, it does a great thing to increase awareness and set expectations.   It's a great way for him to use his influence.  To be honest it would have never occurred to me to have the policy if Andreas hadn't asked for it, I think it's great.  I would never want to see anyone have a negative expeirience.

Thanks, we also plan to discuss blocksize

I'd say even if you didn't plan on it, that's kind of a given, heh.  The topic is pretty much unavoidable now.   Smiley

Might be malleability and implementation of BIP 62 too... Smiley

One small request, could you throw in a question about the possible combination of BIP106 and BIP100?  Neither feels particularly balanced on its own, but the two compliment each other rather elegantly.  It would take both the miner vote and the network traffic into account.  The adjustment would only go ahead if the incentives of both were in alignment.  Also, the doubling/halving part from BIP106 seems excessive, so felt that needed curtailing to smaller adjustments on a more frequent basis so as not to overload bandwidth requirements for full nodes.

The topic is actual, hands-on learning.  So attendees can bring laptops and actually open GitHub, program live and see real demos of how this stuff works.

We know the story of how Charlie created Litecoin....how about actually seeing it done?  How about seeing the Coinbase API live?

What does Greg Maxwell do when he logs into a computer every day?

How does Gavin look at the code?

Those would actually be really interesting topics. I feel there need to be more hands-on conferences like this. Good luck!

Thanks, we are doing our best to arrange streaming and/ or video.

That is good. I think that a video recording(s) uploaded to youtube should be priority. Even though the topic is hands-on learning, that does not help people like me i.e. people who do not have time or live across the world.
Hopefully I will be able to watch everything. I'd appreciate a workshop in Europe too.

These are the types of things DevCore aims to cover.    We will confirm exact topics closer to the date...but you get the idea.

I am sure there will be at least recordings. Very interesting lineup. I am looking forward seeing what they will discuss about.
