The Jewish were commonly known as the "people of the book" because they understand the potentials embedded in reading ...
Reading, we can find out so many famous figures in the world commented on "reading" and various motivations for us to love reading.
One of the most famous is the quote "reading is the window to the world".
Exactly this is.
I also heard about this that they love reading so much, getting higher knowledge than others.

However, if this is related to the common people in the world, in fact, reading culture is something that may be not interested enough.
Sometimes, the laziness of reading even small pieces of information becomes the strong wall that makes us stop reading. I also feel the same sometimes.
For some people who exactly love reading so much as a culture, they will always feel that more to read, less they felt understood about this world, and they want to know more about this world by reading again and again.

Tbh too much book reading is curse in itself, your mind gets riddled with more and more concepts. You literally regurgitate rather than having anything of your own. Every individual is unique in him/herself, one's practical knowledge outweights book reading.
Once more, it will depend on personal condition, it will be different from one to other people.
If that is for me, yeah it may curse me because I am actually not even a reading lover so muc. But for the people who love reading and make this a culture, it will be different. They love reading, trying to get any ifnormation from what they read, and they will commonly implement it by practices if available.

Just cosndier what we can do

To the power of technology nowadays makes people lazy to read some books at any article cause the technology gives happiness to everyone of us and makes things easy to happens.
But for me it's better to reads book than searching it to internet cause if you use internet you can not stop your self to search another thing like watching videos from youtube so it's better to read books to focus and learn a lot.

Technological advancements have made everything change. Not everyone can adapt to the development of technology. But if that happens you'll be behind it won't grow. Literacy book began to change to digital literacy. So basically, literacy used to use a lot of paper books that have writing, today everything changes, now don't need paper books for literacy, they just need smartphones and internet connections.
Actually it's just a temptation, for those who don't really want to read. For those who are serious or can control that desire then it doesn't seem like it will happen.

In this contemporary world, I don't think one can excel without reading, because the world is occupied with technology.

So, reading culture can even open your potential..

This is very important to every man, especially men that want to make a positive impact on the society.Reading is life, and without reading,I wonder what people will be like, the kind of mentality man would have got if they weren't reading.Reading is good, but making it a culture is another important thing about it.Every man that is doing well in life has time that they read, and it is the reading that gives him the edge or tactics he uses in facing his business. But when one does not read, one is blind mentally. As they say, that if you are not informed, you are deformed. It is reading that keeps you abreast with what is happening in the society.

Too much of everything is bad after all, so you should know when to draw the limit, nobody asked you or anyone else to over read, I personally really love reading, but my problem is where to buy the books, I hate reading books on my phone or computer, that pdf version of book, I prefer hard copies, and I did be very glad if anyone can suggest me where to buy the books op mentioned in his post and possibly other good crypto related books, any site aside Amazon, and that can ship to parts of Africa, I should really search for this anywhere, but incase any one has some site handy, please feel free to share.

I have read alot of books before, but now I read only things that I have interest in.
Saying this means you just read a bunch of books then with no particular interest. It is good and commendable, but still not good. Good in the sense that though you may have not observed development particularly because you read random books, development actually took place. The importance of reading especially to develop a particular area of your life cannot be overstated.

...this forum can give you every knowledge you want in bitcoin, I personally do not think that is is necessary to read one book a day.
Read one chapter in a book i think is what you mean, because reading one book a day sounds impossible, unless they are very short. It is not mandatory, but necessary in my opinion...if you can read a chapter a day especially when you are trying to develop an area of your life, you will definitely see results.

For forum benefits, if you are a reader, the quality of your input into this forum will definitely improve, more people will be able to gain from your improving and developing knowledge.

Current generation does not read books. Even older generation prefer gadgets to books. Current generation consume information with eyes, and are lazy to use imagination. Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and Youtube hooked people to swiping and obtaining short, simple information, instead of digesting information thoughtfully. If the information did not catch your attention or interest in first 30 seconds, you skip it. With books, it will take 30 seconds to open cover and read name of book or intro.

Do you really have nothing better to say that to echo somebody else’s post without any subtleness (it’s on this same thread ffs)?
I mean it's not that difficult to have an opinion for one’s own, or to simply read one of those books to be able to provide some comments on it.

On average a living being is expected to read atleast one book a day.
I think that those days where we could sit around and read books most of the day are long gone. The world is too stressful now, it's fast, and it eats up everyone and everything in its path. Those who work 8-12 hour shifts every day and have to come home to their kids and families to put food on the table and clothes on their backs have very little time for themselves. And tomorrow the cycle just restarts and sometimes it seems like it will never end. But if there is a will, there is a way and if you try hard enough you will time for your passions.

Aside from reading to get knowledge, reading helps one to think. It can motivate as well. For you to be effective and productive in this forum, you ought to be omnivores in your reading because it will sharpen your intellect and further arm you to engage in meaningful discussions.
The importance of reading can not be overly emphasised as we know that knowledge is power and one the ways of getting knowledge is by reading.

On average a living being is expected to read atleast one book a day. Because the day a living being stops reading that that is when he starts dieing. A book is to the mind what food is to the body. A man is a product of what he reads and listen to. You can't have less than what you consume on an average. Reading can't be replaced

This has birth to the release of this thread  recommending some vital cryptocurrency books in helping us dig deep in knowledge acquisition

To you as a lover of reading, I will also recommend these topics, carefully collected by the users
tranhidung and Ratimov
Books of Antonopoulos are available on Github. If you want to support him, buy his books on Amazon but if you are not able to do so, he generously gives you chances to read his books, on Github.

Youtube channels

There are quite a few books in this collection, as you describe them as “vital”. Please feel free to expand your knowledge of the forum, but remember to use the search function.

I’ve read 20% of those books on the list (namely Mastering Bitcoin, Bitcoin Billionaires, and The Bitcoin Standard – in that order), amongst a few others on the topic at hand. I often wonder which books people actually really read (not just recommend).

A good rhetorical question you ask there, cause many persons are good in recommending but if you go closer you may find out they haven't read one_third of the books they recommend for others. I wonder if it's just an art of a show of knowledge to many names of certain books.

Anyways, that been said, reading is one quintessential thing in life everyone in any works of life need to imbibe as a lifestyle, in that, people travel through books. What do I mean by that, a person can get a full knowledge of an area or society without him/her  living or visiting before, but through books.

Same with, in our various careers, when one tends to read books that concern their area of specialization , the knowledge of such a person can't be compared to another that hardly do read. So reading gives a person an edge over their counterparts.

Readers are actually leaders generally!

Although there is a wide variety of books available for all sorts of readers, the three I pointed out cover a wide spectre of narrative, ranging from the essence and technicalities of Bitcoin, passing through how the Winklevoss twins became acquainted with bitcoin whilst partying in Ibiza and what that lead to, and covering economic fundamentals of money, economy and bitcoin’s potential role.

The Jewish were commonly known as the "people of the book" because they understand the potentials embedded in reading and how it could reflect an impact in their economy, social, marital, physical and financial lives, another saying states and i quote "readers are leaders" and one of the best way to hide information from people is in the book, therefore it is expected of us as cryptopreneurs to engage in the attitude of reading especially books related to our professional fields.
