It should not come as a surprise but a lot of institutions (banks,governments,companies handling finance)are proposing rules that crypto wallets should be regulated by law. The same kyc/aml etc etc rules that apply to your bank account should apply to your wallet. Now crypto was meant to give the user control over his own money but this looks like it wll disappear soon if developers give in to rules that have just been setup to benefit a few thieves who claim to follow the rules themselves.
All theses institutions have had money launderers amongst them even with rules in place so why must the crypto world still stick with the old school.
IF LAW DICTATES AND LAW IS PROVEN TO BE BENEFICIAL TO THE ALL, THEN LAW MUST BE FOLLOWED, IF IT HAS NOT THEN THE GAME MUST CHANGE. CRYPTO DEVELOPERS DONT NEED TO GIVE IN. CRYPTO IS OPEN SOURCE. IT IS DECENTRALIZED. IT IS FREEDOM. IT IS TRANSPARENT. IT IS MANY THINGS THAT THESE INSTITUTIONS ARE NOT.
SO MY WORD TO ALL YOU CRYPTO DEVELOPERS. THE MOMENT YOU ARE ABOUT TO GIVE CONTROL OF CRYPTO WALLETS TO THESE INSTITUTIONS, LET ALL OF THE COMMUNITY KNOW. THEN I CAN DUMP ALL THE CRYPTO COINS AND TAKE BACK MY THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS AND INVEST IT WITH THOSE THAT ARE NOT WILLING TO GIVE CONTROL TO ANY JUNK INSTITUTION!!!
