-What do you suggest for the variables of our currency and how do your ideas meet our criteria?

U should create a currency on top of Nxt. By doing this u'll get fast transaction time (60 seconds), high security (Curve25519), sustainable blockchain size (annual/monthly shrinking keeps the size constant), stable growth (at least now it grows stable, in future it could grow parabolic though).

-How much time are you able to dedicate?

Not much, but enough to consult ur own specialists.

-What is the estimated development timeframe?

1 month, depends on people in ur team.

-What is your expected compensation?

20$/hour (would be free if u weren't businessmen).

What is the budget?

Hi Come-from-Beyond,

Thanks for your question.

Since this is not a typical business model and we believe in a decentralized digital crypto currency, we feel it deserves a unique compensation plan and budget. We also believe in fairness and if we feel someone can add significant value to our project, they should be compensated appropriately. With that said, the budget will depend on the answers we get back from people like yourself since the currency is a critical aspect and must be implemented successfully for the rest of the project to gain traction for the long term. We anticipate that compensation for the developer team will be a significant portion of the budget.

We are a group of "hands-on" people with a vision but we aren't fluent in cryptography, software development, etc. That is why I decided to test the waters for talent here and to better understand the budgetary requirements for the development aspect of this project. I will relay the options to our group and we will decide if it is economically feasible.

I will say that our fundraising ability is sufficient for this concept to be incubated in our first community which is local to us near Vancouver Canada.
If the first stage deployment is successful, we will seek a second round of fundraising (most likely internal) for the worldwide roll-out.

We are more inclined to seek an alterative to PoW since we feel that is wasteful and unsustainable.

Developers can request to be paid in lump sum, equity in the project, or a combination of the two.

I hope that gives some more clarity to our current status and answers your question.

Regards,

Hello,

I represent a group of like-minded business men/active community members that have come up with a more holistic approach to launching a currency.  We understand and support bitcoin but we feel our big idea deserves it's own currency (with improved features) and therefore we are reaching out to developers looking to participate in an ambitious project. Our goal is to provide a digital cryptocurrency for a regional community and small businesses that can be used as a medium of exchange from early in its' growth stage. This community will then scale to other communities around the world. We have the necessary connections in business, social media and networking to accomplish this. The coin we seek to launch will require fast transaction times (<2min), high security, sustainable blockchain size and stable growth. We want the currency to be botnet and ASIC resistant for the foreseeable future.

If this sounds interesting to you, please apply with resume and sample(s) of your previous work.

Please provide answers to the following questions in your application:

-What do you suggest for the variables of our currency and how do your ideas meet our criteria?
-How much time are you able to dedicate?
-What is the estimated development timeframe?
-What is your expected compensation?

We will reply to each applicant and hopefully be able to do a telephone/video chat interview to those that we feel are qualified.

Best Regards,

djcrypto
