.The main reason we are looking for funds is so we can take time off, and put more time into our game.
If you guys have taken it professionally, why don't seek for investments from your local investors like Angel.co ? You pretty much have a company ,a start-up,which will raise huge seed investment if you approach Tech Investors. No doubt bitcointalk do have potential investors but communication gap would always be there. This is right time for the bitcoin gaming market to blow up.

We're looking into other areas of investment as well. I've approached my father and some of his business partners about it, and they're willing to give us 10k in exchange for a 40 percent stake. Don't get me wrong, 10k would be nice but a 40 percent stake is beyond unreasonable.

In the mean time we're exploring other options. Bitcointalk isn't our last hope by any means.

Don't do a 40 percent stake for 10k. You are better of getting a loan for 10k that has an annual interest rate of 6% or something like that.

There are a lot of places that fund stuff like this you should look into. Also are you going to start a GoFundMe or KickStarter or a Patreon?? You should. Make YT videos about it, post to twitter, post on FB, etc.

Try to create a versatile game which makes people addicted then there will not be shortage of investor for you. At first, you have to ensure that your game will be amazing then connect with a official play store.
I think, investors are waiting for investment in a profitable sector.

We're still pushing to get a demo out. We've done a lot of work on our Json scripts, and have begun working on our design. We plan to have a playable demo out, in the next few days.

Just wanted to quickly show off a few screen shots of some of the stuff we're working on still. The graphics are strictly placeholder graphics. If you're interested in seeing more let me know.

I am glad to see strong connections between gamer and blockchain worlds, which are both growing pretty fast.
I suppose you will find investors faster if you will release more information right here, and when you will release your MVP(demo)
Yes, that's what we're hoping.
I talked to my team, and we're going to be pushing to have a short playable demo ready in about a week.
Demo will be good if done well , also asking about the escrow method that grantee investors bitcoins ?

What do you mean by gaurentee investors bitcoins? If you mean gaurentee we will use the funds appropriately then I'm not exactly sure how I could prove that, other than showing off our expense reports every week (Which i'm happy to do). If you mean gaurentee that investors make a profit then, I can't gaurentee that at all. I know that I love to make games, and I know how to market them, but at the end of the day, a small indie studio can be a risky investment. I cannot gaurentee anyone profits. I can't even gaurentee you'll break even. What I can gaurentee is that you'll be helping us make a really cool game, that will be fun to play.

I can also provide some screenshots of what we're working on, as well as daily reports on our progress. We're offering a 10 percent stake in the game for 10k

Yea send some screenshots and more information. I like the way Augmentors marketed their project, with links to a very comprehensive site.

You will find that investors will not jump in without more detailed information and project plans. How will their investment make a difference and

what are the target due date for the launch... { they want a return on their investment and cannot wait for years. } So send some more detailed

plans.  Wink

Sure I'd be happy to do that, and I'm also happy to show off the GDD and monitization documents to interested investors as well.

A 40% stake is a lot, but considering the high risk, you might have to settle for it. You might be able to buy back equity in the future as the invested is paid back.

I would rather put the game off than offer up a 40% stake in the company. If it were say a 25% stake in the game, that would be a different story, but a 40% stake in the company is waaay to steep a price to pay for the funding.

Check out Code 7, it's a game I helped fund a little bit based on the same kind of genre.

Always loved these text-based games. Unfortunately, I am not an investor, otherwise I'd love to invest in this.

Hacker Game (working title) is a social strategy game where players take the role of a hacker. The game plays similarly to mafia wars (on facebook), with a similar monetization model. We’ve added several additional game mechanics and elements that make our game more player driven than similar games however.

It’s technically in the Social Strategy genre, but I like to look at it as a text based MMORPG similar to Mobster Boss (http://mobsterboss.com/). Without revealing too much of what we have planned for our game I’d be happy to answer any questions you have about it.

I’m also perfectly happy with providing a copy of our GDD, and Monetization Documents to anyone who is interested.

The game is being Developed in Unity, and my team and I all work full time jobs. I currently work 55 hours a week, my programming lead works 60 hours a week, and my two other team members both work full time jobs, and take care of their children.

The main reason we are looking for funds is so we can take time off, and put more time into our game.

Numbers for interested investors: The average Social Strategy game makes around $3.50-4.50 per active user, per week of off micro transactions . We're developing our game to be as engaging and entertaining as possible, to keep our players engaged. I have seen plenty of Social Strategy games that are simply terrible, have no story, have 0 player driven content, and still have an average of 10,000 users. We're expecting to see around 10,000 users in our first month, and have several very interesting marketing techniques we will be experimenting with.

What will my funds be used for?: We're looking to raise around $10,000 USD to finish the build. $2000 of that would go directly into hardware upgrades, some of our computers are woefully outdated, and it slows down our efficiency by a lot. $7000 would be used to help us take off of work, so we could dedicate more time into finishing the game, and the remaining $1000 would be used for advertising our game, and various other marketing stunts.

Info about our game: Hacker Game(working title) is a social Strategy game without those annoying wait timers. You can do any activity (if you're skilled enough) at anytime you'd like. We've also taken great care to make sure that players will want to interact with other players. They can strike deals with each other, sell each other items and power ups, or go to war with each others clans. The biggest feature of this game, is going to be the meta game. I feel it's important to bring a real life gritty feel to our game, so we've made the decision we will not be punishing players for scamming other players. It's important to us that our players develop meaningful relationships with each other, so we've also included many different ways for them to do this, weather it be our in game chat channels (Called IRCS) or our in game mails (Called Mail) players will have several different ways to form these relationships. There will be a multitude of reasons for players to form these relationships, weather it be safety from enemies, assisting in money making, or to steal all of their hard earned money.

I will continue to update this post with information as interest grows.
