Pretty weird to see that ICP was taking this case right not instead of taking the legal action once meta already announced by facebook. this small company didn't even have strong proof if meta was copying the logo. I meant when you can try to watch it carefully and there are some differences. I think that facebook will also talk with its legal consultan and various thing before try to launch the new rebrand with the new logo.
Im sure that dfinity will lose once this will be brought to the court by dfinity itself.
This project doens't have strong proof.

First of all I thought meta cryptocurrency project is dead after some investors pulling their fund, but seems like some people jn this forum still talking about this project.
2nd I just found out about this news, and never heard id dfinity before, buf seems like the dfinity logo is just the very generic infinity symbol with gradient color, Meta on the other, at least they bother to squeeze the symbol a little bit so it looked like a letter 'M', So this dfinity project is being ridiculous

Dfinity, the creator of the decentralized computing network Internet Computer, has sued Meta for trademark infringement on the infinity symbol. I just read the news. How about you guys?

Instead of finding Dfinity in the news for the right reasons like update on ICP, here we are discussing about trademark infringement lawsuit with a much bigger and successful company, I always look forward to buying ICP though but I am happy that I haven't done that so far. I am waiting for a price dip to $10 and I can risk my treasured $100 on it.

I have read 2 to 3 replies, i think they are accusing meta to get some fame, As i had read, they were the most hyped token in 2019, and i had personally observed it in 2021, and i am extremely surprised by the price because my prediction was a proved wrong about price in 2022, Well lets see, what icp is bringing in future to get fame and traffic, Infact the sign of infinity on both Facebook(Meta) and Icp has differ Colors and style of infinity is also a lil bit differ,

Then probably both should be sued by whoever made that logo years/decades/centuries ago.
At the first place, an infinite symbol is a mathematical symbol and no one should be giving away the trademark of it, but hey Uncle Joe is making money out of it so let them fight over it on whoever will pay higher. They don't own it and so does the one claiming it or Meta.
Many cryptocurrencies are using the same symbol. AXS is one although it looked like the 3 letters when examined carefully. Meta also made it look like an M letter.
They are worried about the confusion of different companies being connected by just logos. That's old school fight and somehow childish.

What a coincidence, I was just talking to my friend yesterday about ICP's token that it has been on a high price and now it's near to becoming a one-digit coin. Well, let them talk and sue whoever they want to sue. It's Meta, I'm not on anyone's side on this but this is nothing to us who are closely looking at the market.

So where's the tweet? Has it been deleted by the ICP team? i meant i can't find that anymore. I can only find the picture of that tweet but i can't find the real twitter that already tweeted by ICP official twitter account.
A small difference means nothing. I think that ICP was too sensitive about this and think the name of ICP was even bigger than facebook. I personally were not seeing this as something that can hurt the reputation of ICP.
People know which was meta and ICP. There should not be a problem with it.

What's happening with ICP? I remember it was one of the most hyped projects of 2019 they never had an ICO as they had already raised enough money in their private sale. I also remember everyone was applying for their airdrop at that time. I do not think their product is still ready after so many years. They should concentrate on their project first rather than going after big companies for small issues. After listing ICP got dumped really hard and to date, it is being dumped.

This project was starting to do a non sense thing by randomly accusing another company who used the symbol of infinity which was not the same like what has been used by meta. People didn't know about what this project is compared with the facebook that already rebranded to the meta. Instead of accusing another company and it's better for this project to thinka about its product.
 Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

This project will be destroyning itself. We do remember how garbage this project that dumped so hard.
