scryptmining removed since its now the biggest DGC pool around (and this is an alternative pool list)

due to their low network percentage coinex and digicoinpool have been added

Q: How do I tune for p2pool?
A: p2pool has very rapid expiration of work and new blocks, it is suggested you decrease your intensity by 1 from your optimal value, and [possibly] set GPU threads to 1. If you have non-p2pool backup pools it is recommended to use --failover-only since the work is effectively like a different block chain.

so you went with the biggest hash you could find because thats the best right? well due to the lower number of users smaller pools can give you the same amount of return for the same amount of time**. one day you find that the large pool you've been happily hashing at is down for some reason but you didnt set a failover pool in your settings. this post is here to fix that. it also doesnt hurt to spread your hash around to avoid centralisation.

there are many alternative pools you can use from the following list (if you want your DGC pool added reply below)

Pushpool
https://dgc.d2.cc - d2.cc - 0% fee - LP, Stratum - PPLNS - Montreal, Canada (OVH)
https://coinex.pw/mining/pools/DGC - erundook- 0% fee - PPLNS - Amsterdam, Netherlands
http://www.digicoinpool.com - BigVern - 0% fee - PPLNS - Texas, United States
http://www.miningpool.co - ethought - 1% fee - getwork, stratum - VARDIFF - Proportianal - Nuremberg, Germany (HETZNER)
http://digitalize.bounceme.net - akabane - 1% fee - stratum - PPS - Paris, France (OVH)
[Offline] http://swmining.mine.nu/dgc/ - the1silverwolf - 1% fee - stratum - VARDIFF - DYNAMIC-PPLNS - TX FEES TO MINERS - Chicago, IL ,United States
[Maintenance] http://cryptobullionpools.com/digital/ - CryptoBullion - 1% fee - stratum - PPLNS - Michigan, United States

p2pool
http://dgc.xpool.net:8810 - CartmanSPC - 1% fee - Irvine, CA, United States (SAVVIS)
http://next.afraid.org:8119 - faraway - 2% fee - Paris, France (Free)

use the following format to add a failover

cgminer -o YOURMIANPOOL:3308 -u USER -p PASS -o YOURBACKUP:8088 -u USER -p PASS -the rest of your settings-

When using a p2pool you will need to mine with your (local*) wallet address

multiply your hashrate by 0.00000116 to find your share difficulty and add it to your address like so

-o YOURBACKUP:8088 -u YOURWALLETADDRESS+0.00087310 -p x

Hash Rate (KH/s)         Difficulty
                 1                  +0.00000116
                 5                  +0.00000582
                10                 +0.00001164
                50                 +0.00005821
                100               +0.00011641
                250               +0.00029103
                500               +0.00058207
                750               +0.00087310
                1000              +0.00116414
                1600              +0.001862624

*Do not use an exchange or online wallet address
**Luck does play a greater part in smaller pools but should even out
