All this competition is good.

We are getting deepbit getting very close to 50% of the network, and when BTCmine was down recently I think deepbit crossed over the 51% mark.

mmm ok
moved....
as a pool owner it is imperitive that i am open, honest and consistent to my poool members.
Daily i get hassled to "do my job correctly"

If there is to be a "top 10" it needs to be established properly ,updated regularly and have some sort of info for pools and miners to see what the "top 10" is actually based on.
if this is too much work for one forum mod, maybe more need appointing.
I do realise Diablo-D3 is very busy and active, supporting his miner and modrating forums and props to him for all his good work. Smiley

I do think the top 10 is a good idea, even tho ozco.in has slipped to about 12th place now, the competition between 9th and 15th is hotting up. being listed in top 10 is a distinct advantage for attracting memebers if its not setup correctly pools are being ripped off by being left out unfairly.
Bitcoin  needs fairness openess and transparency in all aspects to survive. cutting it off at this level doesnt do the BTC community any favours.

trying to get http://mksv.ath.cx/bit/stats.php details from pool owners so there is an easy tool for Diablo-d3 there is even http://mksv.ath.cx/bit/request.php for pool owners /reps to get themselves listed Smiley
This is supported by ozco.in BUT independently run by mPerth all enquiries should be directed to mPerth

I do agree if there is to be a Top 10 the "Rules" should be displayed and Top 10 should be updated regularly - it does make a differnce to the pools hovering between 9th And 12th Smiley

DiabloD3 top10 pools stats are all messed up. There are pools in top10 that shouldn't be there.

Make a new rule that pool owners should all use same thread format. If majority now uses [~total Gh/s] Pool Name, rest of the info, lets stick with that. Contact each of the top10 pool owners about new rules. If they don't follow your guidelines you throw them out of the list. Add rules to sticky so new pool owners know what to do. Simple as that. Owners are online daily, and they could update pool total hashrate regulary.

[~total Gh/s] Pool Name, rest of the pool info

if pool bigger than 1000 Gh ,         round to 100 Gh, update at least biweekly
if pool between 500 and 1000 Gh, round to 50 Gh,   update at least once a week
if pool smaller than 500 Gh ,         round to 10 Gh,  update at least twice a week
