As long as it's legal and legit I'm in.

This will be the first question in everyone mind that will come when OP wants to get into this diamond in return of btc. You would either have to sell on site or local in your city where people will judge the diamond and its carats and after getting convinced they will pay you in btc. Since Diamonds are very costly you would have to consider everything from buyers point of view.

BTC has become like  an asset as of now as the value has really increased. People who have bitcoins are always tend to buy more golds, silvers and slowly diamonds. Many feel proud to have btc as their asset along with other valuable items like diamonds.

thanks, will try

Interesting to know it. I would be happy to buy when i have required amount in my wallet. We have many who invest in buying golds, silvers and diamonds especially Indians. I am sure this thread will reach all who are in this forum. People who have some bitcoins, would be really happy to buy diamonds from you. It would be really nice to have some offers although you have mentioned that no offers.

appreciated

the main point is private way to invest your money into something let's say real and pricey without attracting attention, with all other profs that gives you diamonds.
Shipping. Local pickup at few places, Brinks also good, delivery directly to buyer is possible upon request but still depending on stone weight.

Yes, if the intention is to buy diamonds as a private and lasting investment. Similar to buying and owning a Patek Philippe watch which is an equally good personal investment. The longer one keeps them, the more valuable they become.

They are also good for those who want to give their wives or daughters something meant to last a lifetime. Few things last forever and diamonds fit in this category of priceless treasures.

For those who have liquid crypto assets and with enough disposable bitcoins to pay for these stones, a nice IF D-color stone is the best gem to invest in. Even less flawless ones will do but I'm a perfectionist and I appreciate perfect things so that's just how I see it.

The bigger the stone, the better.

Unlike gold, selling diamonds is somewhat relative in terms of pricing and appraisal. The GIA papers are good but it's difficult to set a price as there are no pricing indicators one can rely on. Gold for example has a global trade value which is uniform and easily referenced (per ounce or per gram). Diamonds.. you need an appraiser to look at the stone and he or she then gives an estimate (or guesstimate) value of it.

How will shipping work? There are countries which require strict certification of their origin. But since they have GIA papers and I presume are not rough cut stones, customs should be OK. Taxes might hurt though.

i understand thats a very delicate matter, so in fact it's really depending of what you expecting to get buying diamond: make present to your girlfriend on buy fancy stones like investments. at my sight, the main point is private way to invest your money into something let's say real and pricey without attracting attention, with all other profs that gives you diamonds.

You are right regarding GIA, it's not rough and there is no mess with customs. Just import taxes may vary country to country. You could left stones in Geneva Free Zone or Dubai for example to avoid this taxes.

Are you a diamond merchant yourself? Or you are just asking to know? Well, if you are a merchant and you have diamonds to sell in return for Bitcoins, then you should open a thread with your offers in Goods section, and you may get some customers there. The people who want to buy something from the forum, they visit Goods section to see if what they are looking for is available or not, so you may get some interest there.
