they can just go ahead and remove cash altogether, i don't see much of a difference in doing that and replacing it with this traceable cash

electronic money is all we need, still bitcoin is better than both...

A key feature is the ability to devaluate banknotes that may have been stolen from a DICE user or which are illegally circulating.

I just wonder how they are going to effectively keep track considering the number of notes in circulation. The next thing you know, some of the banknotes that you are holding becomes invalidated because you happen to exchange it with a person who steals it from someone else. I'm not trying to imply that it's all entirely bad, but definitely some of these potential issues need to be addressed and sorted out.

Traceable cash! I really think this world is getting worse and worse. I'm proud to say that I'm not on facebook and that I don't have a smartphone. I like my privacy. I don't want to be tracked, maybe I belong to some dying species.

While it says it "respects your privacy" it certainly does the opposite. I just can't realize how they're doing this in a wrong way and who's falling for this nonsense?
This pretty much enables someone with authorities to view everything that you do with these banknotes. As doge would put it: wow such amaze, very privacy.  Roll Eyes
