Self-Custody is a right. Say no to"Non-custodial"
Who starts a letter in such an offensive way as 'dear sirs' in 2020? There's a solid chance that one of the people to whom the letter is addressed will actually be a woman.

I do find craig, calvin and his various scammers to be annoying and offensive, but I don't consider "dear sirs" as offensive, even if he knew some potential addressees were women or could be women.

That note aside, publicly claiming that your address is the one involved in Mtgox is only less ridiculous than a Satoshi getting hacked and having no backup to access the wallet.

Craig seems so desperate to establish himself as a possible early player in the bitcoin space, so sometimes an admission against interest could help to persuade people....

I'm just surprised how Craig gets away with all the stuff he claims. I mean, his claims are so inconsistent that at least some of them must be lies, and presenting false evidence to the court must be a serious offense, right? I do hope he ends up in prison at least for a few years for all this.

Many of us wish him jailtime, that's for sure.  Surely, he is engaging in criminal behavior both in terms of the levels and quantity of his fraudulent representations that he is sending out to the public to pump his product, and he is also abusing the justice system.  To laypersons, it likely seems like a slam dunk that he should be in jail, but sometimes it can take time for justice to prevail (in the event that justice does actually prevail in this case.. because we likely know that justice does not always prevail, frustrating as that may be).

He claimed an address known for one of the most infamous hacks in Bitcoin? Laughable. Hahaha.

Where's hv_? He should read it, and explain.

Their explanation is that Faketoshi's strategy is simply beyond our mortal comprehension:

Not that it's getting too boring.. 4D chess again

We're all apparently just too stupid to see how committing perjury and fraud is going to prove that Faketoshi was really a genius all along.   Roll Eyes

I believe it's a simple over-sight by Craig Wright's lawyer, Jimmy Nguyen. It would be his fault if Craig Wright has a "roommate"named Jammal, who wants to make him his girlfriend.

I don't think he has the technical expertise necessary to pull off a hack. The guy can't even write C++ so I doubt he has a clue about requests/HTTP/SQL and all those other vectors that hackers regularly exploit.

As much as I thought: the Craig wright we'll know can't even stand as a hacker when those in the industry stand to talk. In my opinion he's trying to make us understand that, he Craig wright love whenever we the bitcoin community talk about him, maybe with the community talk he's getting something positive I presume. Although, if this is really the true case of this scammer, then nothing should be done than keep him in jail and ensure he serve the terms of the jail complete. There shouldn't be another opportunity for him to start promoting another shitcoins to gullible Bitcoinners.

He had an interview at the beginning of the month discussing about how digital signatures do not prove ones identity.
He comes off during this as confused at times and at the end does not make any sense.

It's just that he was looking for some addresses with a large number of coins and came to find and use an address which coincidentally was the address of MT-gox hacker. As he has claimed those address of his own, he should be charged and made to forfeit the loss of mt.gox users who still are waiting for their coins.

LoyceV on the road. Or couch.
So let's get this straight: CSW had no backup, that is no cold storage backup of the private keys.  Does anyone think, given Satoshi's comments about wallet backups on here and elsewhere, that Satoshi (a) had his private keys online, and (b) had no backup?  CSW, yes, he seems like an idiot.  Satoshi, no.
My thoughts exactly.

It amazed how CSW only love to create controversy online and it makes think some he's somehow making money from all his lies cause he seems to enjoy doing it.

False evidence is called perjured and in the US it a serious offense and anyone caught in the act will be sentence up to five years in prison but until now he's not sentence to prison which I'm surprised, his lawyer most be experienced and good at it either.
In any case, if the bitcoin addresses that appear in the court documents in the MtGox case are under Craig’s control, this increases the list of criminal articles that Craig Wright must answer before the court. In addition, all Wright's lawyers confirm that their client is the owner of these high-currency funds. undoubtedly any manipulation of evidence, as well as obvious fraud, is criminally punishable in any country, and not only in the United States of America. In addition, if Craig is officially aware of the legal liability for damage to Mtgox, then he is in real danger of imprisonment.

CSW should fire his advisor and all the people around him.  CSW had a great plot in mind of making him the greatest in the Cryptocurrency Industry by claiming that he is Satoshi but the people around him failed to do thorough research of verifying addresses they will use to execute the plan.  In return, CSW is now a laughing stock and a huge possibility of going to jail due to fraud and possibly hacking Mt. Gox.

He now has more to prove than just signing a message from satoshis wallet. I bet he just wanna sum up all the coins up to what he assumed how much satoshi have and then picked the wallets that have the most coins in it but accidentally pick the ones used by the hacker of mtgox. these lies will keep biting his ass even after he is in jail soon.

Fresh fish! Fresh fish!

That is why he should have hired competent people to realize his plan of claiming the title Satoshi Nakamoto, lucky he failed in that area badly.

CW claims to be Satoshi Nakamoto and then he stole 80k bitcoins from an exchange? You cannot believe anything this snake oil salesman says, because he also promised to get his private keys from a courier and then he was supposed to use those coins to cause a massive bitcoin dump.... guess what... nothing like that happened.  Shocked

My father always said.... A lie runs fast, but the truth always catch up to it. This guy is going to go to jail, mark my words today. It is just a question of time before his lies are going to catch up to him in court.  Cheesy

You cant say that cause people like CSW can do everything to achieve their goals and if you do some background check about him you'll know that he's an Information Technology which will make it easy for him to handle the hacking of MtGox wallet. However, if the MtGox doesn't have a hint of him to be suspect they won't have mentioned his name but I'm sure the truth will surface sooner or later.

Yes he just creating an issue to gather attention and talks so that he's name will be but on crypto headlines but I don't literally bite this dramas since anyone can easily release a statement regarding on that things nor anyone including Mtgox doesn't proven it yet for so many years of the past incident happen so maybe best for us to stop listening regarding on CSW news since it will just add your stress if you keep following some news about him.

perhaps some super duper important info is known only to someone in prison and he needs to meet that person for an extended period of time. very complicated, may take years of conversation to reconstruct.

or shards (or whatever the f those slices of keys etc are) of the tulip trust are engraved in various prison cells at various prisons. he will want to sample many many cells.

I think hes just an attention whore, and loves the Bitcoin community to be talking about him like hes actually relevant, because he likely seems Bitcoin as revolutionary, or something special right, and he wants to be a part of that history. Unfortunately, it seems he doesn't care what he's known for, as long as hes included in its history. Everyone knows of him, and everyone is sick of him, but due to this exposure he still gets headlines, and it feeds into his addiction for publicity. That's at least the impression I get from it, because its literally something new every week.
Then he's not only an idiot but also a psychopath. From wanting to be part of Bitcoin's history to having to lie about every little thing you say is a long road to take and most people will consider him an idiot whether it's now or in 50 years, especially as he continues to spread obvious bullshit around that will only put him in a worse place.

I just hope his BSV will somehow finally burn off in the next few years - it's getting quite pathetic that we have literal shitcoins sitting in the top of the cryptocurrency markets and we really need a cleanup tbh..

It's still a quest to make money.
There are always gullible people out there who see someone who is famous / semi-famous in a field and buy into what they are selling.
I can see people getting caught BSV spin and dumping all their money into it. Same way with Garza / GAW and Carlos Matos / bitconnect
We have seen it in the crypto sphere before and we will see it again.

And so long as he keeps putting his name and spin on things out there people will keep giving him money.

Yeah, and its incredibly frustrating because there's plenty of information out there warning of these pitfalls for these users that are buying into the nonsense. Unfortunately, and I really don't like admitting it, CSW as influence within the community, and controls some important resources that users stumble upon.

I'm not entirely sure of the best way to combat this malicious use of press either.

I have a feeling that the more forgeries and lying to the court he commits, the higher the chances of him getting punished. I imagine the judges would be quite annoyed if they would understand that CWS just uses this case to promote his asset.
That was my feeling months ago too. His bullshit only digs his grave even deeper than it already was. If I was him, I'd stop right now with all the shit I was saying because it's going nowhere good.

Honestly, at this point I wouldn't be surprised if he really was the one who stole from MtGox and has now basically revealed it himself. Taking into account all the lies he spread around and everything he's done so far, it would really be no surprise on my side. I'm just impatiently waiting for his fame to burn away because the only reason he keeps doing what he's doing is that he is the creator of a shitcoin that now somehow still sits in the 6th place of cryptos.
