System or Wallet error, Recaptcha failed or address invalid!

I suppose you're talking about the testnet faucet, right? In that case, make sure you're adding an address that was generated with a testnet wallet!
Could you post the address you're trying to make a claim for?

I just learned that I might get "20,00" satoshi next monday. That is not a misprint on my part - 20,00.

I would like to suggest to the moderators that it would be a good idea to allow beginners an area to "beg" each other, and to practice a transaction or two....not have such posts moved from the beginners forum to the meta.

If you want to practice transactions, you can always create a testnet wallet, claim testnet BTC and practice creating transactions, signing, creating paper wallets,... etc riskfree and for free Wink

You can claim here:
https://testnet.manu.backend.hamburg/faucet

Testnet wallets include:
bitcoin core, coinomi,...

https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Testnet

Don't forget to return the testnet coins once you're done learning Smiley

I understood what you meant . I was merely acknowledging that.

Supposedly I am getting bitcoin for reading a book. I dont know how that works, a Great Society Program for the virtually underprivileged, I suppose

Okay, I am now reading a book for bitcoin. I thought faucets were something to avoid. Did not realize that was where to begin.
I just want practice before I buy bit coin.
I meant if you newly created a bitcoin address and want a few satoshis right away without having to buy it off exchanges, faucets are only option I can think of.Learning how bitcoin/transactions work is a different thing, what you did was beg for bitcoins which has 0 tolerance policy in this forum.

as I recall, I jokingly made it sound like begging. The tread title "buddy can you spare a dime" I thought funny because I am really begging for help getting started with this.
No one doubts your intentions. It's your genuineness is what you're judged upon.Honestly if I come across a thread with the title "buddy can you spare me a dime",I'd report it as Move -> Trashcan [Spam].To start with, please use faucets available throughout the internet. If you have any technical queries, don't hesitate to google it before making a new thread in the forum.

Might have appeared spam, but I dont think so... it was like this:

I am new to btc. Just now learning.I have a wallet and have been studying

Is it cool to ask someone here to send me 10 cents worth BTC. I will send it back. What are fees for that? If its like several dollars, then nevermind.

Is it safe to show a "receive address" on a forum like this?

Any constructive comments are welcome.

It was probably marked as begging which is against the rules.

All other questions are probably fine in beginners and help.

Quick answers:

- how high a good fee is, is not a simple answer, but usually its a few cents. The fee depends on the size in bytes of the transaction, not on the amount of bitcoin you are transfereing
- posting bitcoin address is safe, anywhere.

If a post is deleted you would usually receive a message informing you that your message has been deleted, I can't remember ever seeing a reason stated for a deleted post as most of the time it will be the owner of a moderated thread and they reserve the right to remove posts.

One of the reasons could be spam like posts as altcoinhosing mentioned as I was typing this reply Smiley

My post is gone .... I am sure I saw it on the list. If deleted by MODS, what for?
AFAIK, you have two posts: The one i'm replying to and this one: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.17024083

If other posts got deleted by the mods, it's usually because they considered the post to be spammy (+1, me to, giving the same reply, completely offtopic, wrong subforum,...)
