This has nothing to do with yobit. If you bothered to read the thread then OP actually got tricked into sending money to a yobit imposter because he got scammed by a fake telegram ICO and wanted a refund.

In general though I would definitely avoid using yobit and following the yobit twitter account as it is filled with scams of the same sort that require you to send money to them to gain more money, and yobit doesn't seem to be actively reporting these scammers. And yes, yobit is an unregulated exchange which makes it even more risky to use.

I read alot of Yobit horror stories, they need more regulations impose! 

At least you're realizing that you made a mistake and is actively trying to make amends.

That is great. But I don't think that it's your fault that you got scammed. It's just that you could have avoided the scam by some simple research. But don't worry, you'll remember in the future because of this mistake.

BTW, could you tell us the name of the site/screenshots of the telegram page that you were talking about that was posing as the official telegram ICO? That could potentially stop other people in the future from getting scammed by the same con artist.

There's actually been a ton of people scammed in the same way ever since telegram ICO was announced and phishing sites/fake ICO groups popped up all over.

I saw only one Telegram ICO page,I didnt expected that its scam but its my fault that I didnt checked more carefully before sending,I realized that the only official information about Telegram is only from their twitter and yes,you are right,I know that the funds are lost,I learned my lessons in a hard way,the good thing is that I invested early and the real loss is not so big but the potential is huge....so I would be more careful in the future,for sure,I will try to make everything that I can to track this bastard and hopefully recover something.

If you invested in any telegram ICOs then it's probably a scam. There has been a ton of phishing ICOs using telegram as their cover story recently, and all of them use the same design and template for their website without exception. There are no official sites or statements about their ICO from telegram yet, even though they are planning on doing an ICO. Should have done some more research before falling for these scammers.

The yobit employees are not employees of yobit at all, they are just scammers using a fake email posing as yobit to gain money from you.

Very expensive mistakes to make, I think at the end you probably lost close to 5 ETH or even more. That's like $2.5k-5k depending on when you invested/sent these funds. These are probably not going to be recoverable since your transactions happened ages ago and probably have thousands of confirmations on the network and is irreversible. Hopefully it's enough to make you realize that crypto is full of scammers, and always research before you send money to anyone.

Yeah. I'm not sure if the facebook page is legit or not, but even if it was a scam page, I couldn't find anything regarding the yobit.solutions email domain. How did you find the fake scammer's email address again?

Of course the real yobit wouldn't actually respond to you and that is what the scammer is trying to exploit here - the fact that they're going to be the only one replying to your email and the real yobit will not respond to your tickets.

This is completely unrelated to yobit and as bad a service they are, this isn't their fault.

Next time, always verify that you're speaking to the right person before sending any money. In fact you shouldn't send any money to support.

Well , the scammer on TELEGRAM ICO was having https sertificate from some service that it gives you for free or something like that,I'm guilty because I was hurrying to send the money because I want to participate in this ICO from a long time,that was my mistake,I will surely be more careful when I get into situation like this,I'm pretty sure that the guy who scammed me for 3 eth as yobit employee is just a scammer,I will try to find him but I know that the chances are about 99% that I couldn't but I will still try.

Never send money to someone. If someone ask you to send money to get help, don't send because it should be a scam.
Becareful, because on twitter there was a bot who asked ETH and said that there was an airdrop but people should send them ETH. It is also a scam (i got scammed this way because i was not careful).
If someone ask money to get more money, it should be a scam.
If they put an address where to send a coin or token, search the address on etherdelta to see what this address contains. You should see that it is a scammer. You are going to see the transactions made at this address.
If they put a kind of list on a webpage which looks like there were transactions made, you should also look at etherdelta and you are going to see that this webpage is fake. Also look well at the address name of the website, and also the certificate of the website. The website should be secure and also in the name of the company.
On Bittrex twitter account, they put an article about how to detect a scam webpage. You should look at their twitter. This article explains very well the methods used by the scammers. The scammers are very ingenious. Don't do things quickly as you may be scammed.
Take your time if you need to send money to another person.

For example, someone mention about being scammed by yobit.io. It seems that it is a fake yobit website. They have a valid certificate.

But if you go to yobit.net, in the certificate you can see:

Nom DNS=*.yobit.net
Nom DNS=yobit.net

On the yobit.io certificate, they didn't mention any information about the DNS. It may also help to identify if a website is a fake one. You can also see the certificate of Bitcointalk and you are going to see their DNS.

the FB page is https://www.facebook.com/yobitexchanger/ also when I sent emails to [email protected] and [email protected] I got reply only from the 2nd one which replied that this is the real FB page and that https://twitter.com/yobitexchange is the real twitter account but now I see that I only receive mails from [email protected] so probably this guy just scammed me.

Yobit.io and yobit.net are one, I remember they announced it when yobit.net was down and that they tried to tell people to login using the .io site because their accounts are also there. I did login to that account which I haven't used for months already.

Strange that a representative will ask you to send more to retrieve your ETH, I'd be more suspicious if they do that to me. Is OP sure this is that account who talked to him and gave him the [email protected] is https://bitcointalksearch.org/user/yobit-406594 ?

You mean this facebook page https://www.facebook.com/yobittrading? I didn't see any FB page for yobit beside this, their last posts from that page were last November 2017 and it redirects me to yobit.io, does yobit.io and yobit.net is one? or some phishing links?

Seems you are scammed as stated above with the email with .solutions and it's not recoverable, so sorry to hear that dude.

Those are the e-mails that they gave me on their facebook page (if its real of course) : [email protected] , [email protected] , I send mails to both of them for confirmation that this is their support mail and they returned me twitter and the facebook pages as reply to prove that they are the real ones , but now it looks like that the facebook page and those mails are controlled by one person which is just scamming me.....

the domain yobit .solutions is not owned by yobit. It is parked automatically and probably only used to send people emails to scam them.

It seems clear to me that OP got scammed by a fake ICO, saw that the ETH was transferred to yobit, and a fake yobit representative contacted him. The refreshing network nonsense is absolutely untrue, you do not need to deposit 1 ETH to refresh the balance of an address on ETH or whatever. Just a ploy to try to get you to send more and more money incrementally.

OP, stop sending them money, unfortunately whatever you have sent them so far is most likely gone and irretrievable. A real customer support will never ask you to send money directly to their address.

Can someone post here if the email [email protected] is the correct email for the support ticket of Yobit? I find it suspicious since I only know is the domain name yobit.net, not .solutions but if they used it for support tickets then I guess its fine but the staff looks stupid, they let you send some eth without telling that there's some error with their exchange then let you send another again? that's so stupid.

But I'm afraid if he will respond or not since his/her last activity was last February 28.

I wanted to show them when I'm 100% sure that I'm scammed from them otherwise I only spread bad news about them but trust me its from their official contact channels because I sent them a letter on their e-mail from a different e-mail address than this that I'm registered with and chatting with them before sending the 1st ETH and they replied to me,my screenshots are from FB and mail communication but everything is 100% real

This issue is really new to me. If possible please include all the chat logs or screenshots for proofs that it's really Yobit or just an impersonator. How come that you have to send 1 ETH first before you recover your scammed funds?

What happened::
I have been scammed from a guy who hosted TELEGRAM ICO site and sent him 1.5 ETH , then saw on etherscan that he moved this ETH to YoBit and writed to them for assistance,they told me that they can assist me and return these 1.5 ETH  but I have to send at least 1 ETH to address that they gave me to refresh some transaction network,so I sent 1 ETH but because there are transaction fees the address that they gave me received only 0.995 ETH so they told me that I have to send at least 1 ETH so I send again 1.095 ETH to the address that they gave me and started asking what is going on,they asked me ONE TIME is my account balance refunded and I said NO becaues it wasn't refunded and I started to wait for respond from their side almost 1 month,so one day they answered me and told me that I have to refresh my transaction network again by sending 1 more ETH....meanwhile I saw that the ETH that I send before that is transfered to SHAPESHIFT.....I send the last 1 ETH (3 ETH total) and waited for their respond,they told me that because the prices are lower now,the sent ETH is stuck on 1000$ price because when I sent them the prices was about 1000$ and I have to send about 400$ more in ETH because now the prices are lower.I started to ask some questions which maybe isn't comfort to them and they told me that when the price hits 1000$ again they will return all of my ETH back immediately......I got screenshots on all of this conversations but I dont know if they are valuable.....

so,what do you think,I am expecting that some of their employee is scamming me personal but when I read some threads about other scams from YoBit side I started to doubt that I will get my money back,the problem is that they told me that THEY COULD HELP ME , thats why I'm pissed off,if they told me "sorry,we cant help you.." all of this bullshit will be gone and forgotten but now I lost even more money because they told me that they can help me,my hope isn't lost,but this is very shady way for refunding....

What are your thoughts ?
