The economic revolution coincided with the industrial revolution from the beginning of 1.0, 2.0, 3.0, 4.0 and now we are in the adjustment of 5.0 the combination of humans with robots and human collaboration with machines.

Thus the economic pattern is changing and developing faster because there are so many innovations that can be done by mankind to continue to advance to the next civilization, in the past stupid people could still get jobs, could still garden and make money by farming and trading hand to hand directly and that could still be enough to survive but now with increasingly sophisticated technology that simplifies human access to business becomes easier but competition is getting harder because those who have limitations will be eliminated and if relying on today's garden results will not be enough with many expensive modern style needs.

The actual problem I can point out is that the number of graduate that the world is seeing everyday Bi-semester exceed the number of job of opportunities economy create and by this I mean both jobs created by government through means of their own grow and development or the ones they voluntary created for people and the other jobs created by non governmental sectors, those are the companies and other businesses like the entrepreneurs, this is the genesis of the real world job problems and it has to be address but one corrupt government will decrease in birth rate.


If what I addressed is resolve, there wouldn't be competition among job finders, in fact people will be needed where companies will be the ones dragging Job applicants from another companies but it's a shame that the numbers are high and even with good academic records, you might not get the job your pairs are fight after. This is why it's encourage to have different side husle and gigs so that when you get employed in a place and suspended later, you will have another means of making money because this competition put you at the risk of been fired.

Everyone has experienced something unforgettable due to the covid-19 pandemic in the past few years which has resulted in all economic sectors being depressed until now which is difficult to recover, in other cases there is the effect of war which worsens the economic situation from the effects of inflation, we live in the most difficult times I have ever experienced in my life and see many people become poor because they have lost their income and opportunities to apply for jobs are very difficult, we hope the economy will recover soon and all countries must make policies to overcome the global economic downturn, many people are hungry who must be considered and many people are poor and can no longer meet their living needs.

but convid-19 pandemic was destructive, my country has not faced such problems in the past few years, still people can not recover their losses in the covid-19, many businesses have been damaged, they have not yet fully recovered from the loss and many have lost their homes, and many have not been able to repay their loan, personally i am lost big thing still i have to pay for that.

The well-being of the citizens of a country depends on how inflation is.

Now it is actually not a matter of difficulty or ease in getting money and jobs, but because job vacancies are getting fewer and added to the number of job seekers who are already so many. Likewise with the matter of money whose value seems to continue to decrease due to several things so that it makes it difficult for people to meet their basic needs if they still rely on themselves to work with their muscles without using their minds to develop further.

In addition, the level of competition in finding jobs and money also continues to occur non-stop in all countries so that it will certainly be more difficult for everyone because every year there are always new job seekers for all sectors. We can imagine how many thousands of people continue to graduate from college but they are still struggling to find work because they are unable to create jobs for themselves in life. So it's things like that that keep the competition going every year and make everyone tired.

As far as I know, the damage caused by World War II was 10 times greater than that of World War I: 60 million people died, 90 million people were disabled and many villages and cities were destroyed...Economically: hundreds of millions of people lost their jobs and homes, and it could be said that much of Europe collapsed. Let me ask, how many people have died, how many people have lost their jobs and homes because of the covid pandemic? Will the world economy collapse to the point where millions of people are unemployed or starving?...Also, you can study past pandemics like cholera, malaria...and many others that have caused consequences. You will know that covid pandemic is nothing.

As I said we have never been through anything worse, Covid is the only thing we have had to go through so far, so we don't feel what previous generations have had to endure and go through.

Today, many families are struggling to make ends meet, struggling to eat, but famines are no longer as frequent and the number of people dying from hunger is not as high as before...It is safe to say that a lot of things have changed for the better.

If you say the world is getting worse and making money is getting harder, then I want to ask you, could the generations before us have made money online? Can they invest, can they use technology devices, internet, social networks...to make money? Also, if they get sick, do they get vaccinated, do they have access to specialist care with the technology we have today?


As I said before, the world becomes worse or better depending on each person, if you earn more money then obviously the world will become better. But if you are struggling in life then when you look at life everything will be bad, even with your family everything will be bad for you.

Those who can adapt the current situation can survives and can take their part in the new economy in present. So that needs to develop many things to follow the current situation and if they can have many good skills that needed, they can get a better jobs which can give them good salary. That will happen in the future where the technology is growing fast and only who know how to adapt the technology can use it for their benefit.

The competition will be tight for every people who want to take part as now, when they want to search a work from globally, they need to have more skills and ability to compete with other people from other countries. We all see the different between past and present but we are not have a better situation because we can have a better life compare those who lived in the past. But this condition will also different in the future which can be different than now so if we want to survive in the future, we must think what we should do to have more things that can help us to survive.

It is true that past jobs were more in the field of work that used strong muscles but until now these jobs have decreased slightly over time but have not completely disappeared and with the technological advances that have been created of course there are many jobs that are replaced by technology and intelligence is needed to be able to use the technology and with the current economic conditions of course there are so many people who need jobs and the level of competition between individuals is very pronounced and for some people who still cannot compete at a certain level it will be difficult to get a job with enough income to meet their needs.

Of course, each era and time has different patterns and developments, if we follow it we will continue to work using our muscles. But behind all that there is also a lost space due to this technological progress. yes. opportunities for the weak to follow it, especially in the current economic conditions, it is very difficult to get jobs and money and competition.

The economy was still crap before covid but even though it was crap it was still relatively lively. When covid happened, the economy was stopped for like 2 years worldwide. The governments printed money so the people wouldn’t starve but the equation between the money supply and the supply of services and products got a lot worse in the end. The inflation went rampant. Then the FED decided to raise the interest rates to stop the inflation.

Now big companies are laying off workers, cancelling their future investments… and it is getting worse. It will get a lot worse.

What did we achieve in the end? We tried to fool the math and it seemed to work for nearly 2 years or smth.

Stopping the economy during covid19 was a big mistake. You can thank Biden administration for that. Trump called this mistake many times.

Now we are back to where we started, no we are probably in a worse shape than that.

I think the world is constantly moving and there is always change, but there will be differences in each country and each region, not everything is better and not everything is worse. There are countries that are getting richer and there are countries that are getting poorer so there will be different thoughts about how the world is changing.



I think this is not entirely true, the diseases that we call common diseases today such as cholera, chickenpox, smallpox, malaria...these diseases were also called pandemics and took the lives of millions of people at that time. But over time, humans developed vaccines and treatments so they became common diseases. Growing up as teens the good experiences about how less difficult life was isn't same as we have today. I have had time to commune with a few elderly persons and their stories about the past and today's world has always been that the world is getting worse by the day.

The only better and developmental difference is that in our present world technology has greatly improved but the global economy isn't getting a reflection of this development. Cost of living skyrocketing, increased in strange diseases and sicknesses and insecurity on a high level and a majority can't even feed fine. What can you say about that?

Just because we are the ones witnessing and experiencing what the covid pandemic is causing, we feel it is so bad and terrible and this is the only bad thing we have ever experienced. But if you ask someone who has been through pandemics in the past or someone who has been through world wars or even revolutions to save their country from invaders. They will tell you that what is happening is insignificant and nothing compared to what they have been through before.

So it is not true to say that the world economy is getting worse. If we want to know whether the world is getting better or worse, let's ask people who have lived through different decades and stages of the world like our grandparents. Don't ask young people born and living in the modern world. We will have a clearer view of the world's development.

Not having a permanent job how can they earn money to meet their living needs and maybe what you mean is because now the government provides assistance to its people, both in terms of health, education and other money so even though they do not have a permanent income people can still eat, provide school for their children or health costs are borne. Now it becomes more complicated because money loses value due to several things and most people are also involved in unproductive debts that affect human life.

At that time , persons are successful which adopted the the change and who did not accept that change ,he is far behind.  Millions of people accepted the change in COVID-19 and they got benefit from COVID-19 and many persons did accept that change and they lose everything because there was lockdown and every person was in the house. You had to change yourself by getting current knowledge and current situation of market. Many people earned millions of dollars in COVID-19 and now they are rich person. Especially, BTC was at top and marketing campaign was also wanderful and many investors and hunters got benefit from that benefits and made strong portfolio.

I remember the good old times when I made a much smaller salary and I was still doing fine, had no issues at all. In my country, if you make a thousand dollars per month, that's good enough to live without much issues, at least that was the case years ago, it meant that you were making more than most people. Now?

Now, you make a thousand dollars and it's still more than majority of the people and you still have hard time living, which is something I do not understand because that means majority of the people are still not doing that well neither, It makes no sense because we are seeing a lot of people have a lot of issues about this, which makes absolutely no sense at all. We should be making more money in this sense, and yet people make even less.

This means that past economy was so great that we would make less than today in comparison to inflation, it is not just inflation that went up, it feels like prices went higher than inflation and inflation numbers are a lie. They tell you it is 10% yearly, but it could be as high as 20-30%, because prices do indicate that, prices shows that it is not just a bit more, it shows it is a lot more and we are having a lot bigger issues because of that.

There are always economic differences between the past and the now, because there are adjustments such as the number of individuals and the level of consumption, so there are adjustments to these levels, with the current currency having a smaller value compared to the past, which is what influences the economic levels among this.

I have to pause for a moment because I don't know why you make your conclusions like that or perhaps you just assumed things based on the things you see around you right. I guess you need to leave your comfort zone and see how life has been in other part of the world. Some people has moved from average life to worse due to war, due to climate change, due to economic decisions and also terrorism, all these has stop them from having a good life.

Healthcare facilities are another aspect that has worsen due to generation and widespread of new diseases and sickness. Back then, common sickness  were yellow fevers, malaria, small pox and chicken pox and with vaccination, all of them disappeared but it seems we now have advanced sickness around us that we are dealing with everyday and you think that things are fair, I'm not sure if that conclusion is okay to say.

I would say there's a big difference with the past economy and the present but life is in stages and just as an individual grows, it get past some certain stages and phases so this is certainly another stages of the economy that we need to know or experience and yes life don't usually give you what you expect on most cases so you need to adjust to it.

Tho the past economy was far better of than this in the sense of balancing to the needs of  the average man as well but now it's been difficult for many as they tend to scale through this phase of the economy.
Imagine then in the past you can use let's say 10$ to go to the markets to get groceries for the house and you will get enough stuffs to carry for months but comparing to now it's the reverse it's just like you took nothing to the markets that's how difficult and different the past economy is to the present.

Countries with high unemployment rates suffers difficulty, and workers in such countries also get “underpaid”, and because, in a country like this, it’s like a privilege to be employed, citizens will not object the chance to work as an “underemployed” staff. For this, the working class people, cannot afford their basic needs; food, and shelter. It simply means that the economy of the country will get—hard.

However, more people need to advance to high paying skills, by taking courses to help fix their personal financial economy. The better every person in the society can make impact in the labor market, the best for their nation's economy.

Today the world is facing a very critical economic problem. Technology is developing so rapidly that professional workers are becoming more needed. I believe we had a better economy some years back if being compared to the hardship that so many people around the world are going through. Some years back, you don't have to stress yourself to get too many jobs, skills or side hustle before you can be able to pay your bills, but due to how worse the economy has become, you can see a person who have two to three jobs and also a side hustle, they undergo different stress just to make sure they can earn enough money to fill all their bills, because without having more than one job, they can't meet their personal needs.

If you think the world has improved by what you just wrote, the I guess you don't know what is happening around the world. People are hungry and it's global and worst in some countries, people have dropped out of schools and that's because the economy is hard for them to even afford a book. In many countries today where basic education used to be free, it's no longer free again because the governments aren't doing that again, life is really hard out there my friend.

In my country, many of the people who claimed to be politicians and now work for the government all had privilege of free educations, free things the colonial guys did in the country bit as soon as they left and the people who had free privilege changes everything about the economy and it's now unbearable for many people. You should learn to go out and see things, don't stay on social media and assume things are okay with poor people.

Unfortunately the biggest issue that it caused was inflation. We all spend a lot more money on things that we used to spend on, and yet our salary is still around the same level. Unemployed is an issue, and employers knows this so they do not increase our salary, which causes us issues because if we resign then we would be unemployed and can't find a job, whereas if we do not resign then we are making a very small amount compared to higher prices, there is no way out.

The best case for us is bitcoin, we put some money in bitcoin hoping that it would give us some good breathing room, but usually it won't go up that much higher, a bit but not make us rich. All in all, we are just stuck between a rock and a hard place, so it is going to be a sad situation to keep going like this but that's the reality we live in right now, it is definitely nothing that will be all that crazy good at all. We need to consider that this is the new world and we have to get used to it.

Honestly, the economy is really getting worse every year now. I had hope before that it would get better, but from what I am observing now, I am just confused. The prices of things are really increasing each and every day. Where the economy is leading us now is beyond our understanding. After COVID-19, I was expecting things to get better, but as you said, that COVID-19 period was better than this. It’s true, but it seems that COVID-19 also played a serious part, as we continue experiencing this bad economy.Now, my country's economy is getting out of hand. People are finding it difficult to feed themselves. Hmm, In my view we are in the worst era of the economies, you are saying people can go to school, eat food, and pay bills, bro are you serious I'm not sure from which country you are but if you look at the living expense vs the average earning here in Asian countries like Pakistan, Sri-Lanka, India almost 40% people cant afford the 2-time meal for themselves and their family. School haha I'm not sure where you've seen this information even in the 2020s people are forced to child labor.

you've mentioned something like even if they don't have a full-time stable job you can afford a standard of living, haha yup you can based on Youtube, TikTok, and freelancing income but that's not the success of an economy that's an individual success. Here more than 60% of workers are working 16 hours per day as GIG workers to afford their expenses and you are talking about affordance of food and paying bills.

I don't know why I'm rude but this system sucks rich ones are getting richer so that even their cats and dogs are living a life that 70% of the lower middle-class cant even dream to live.
There's a lot of pain in my heart for those who are near me and I cant do anything, except watch their struggle for life. The economy which is based on money against money can't change people's lives.

I think there is no difference between past economy and present economy. Earlier people struggled for food and starved to death. But now while simplifying the food system we are spreading various diseases, as a result many people die due to lack of treatment. The difference between poverty in past and present economies is only demand. In the past the poor died for lack of food, today the poor die for lack of medical care (not primary care).

The entire global media is highlighting the possibility of inflation due to the impact of Covid-19 and the Ukrainian war, the possible impact of inflation that occurs may not be as bad as the current economic conditions but we suspect that there are certain individuals involved who want to raise prices without caring about the conditions of the lower economic community who are struggling to meet their living needs in the midst of the current bad conditions, it is ironic to see the global economic conditions at their worst including the price of medicines, we hope the economy can recover soon from the impact of inflation.

Definitely, the world is getting better. But many times, economic progress leaves the impoverished behind. Luxury goods over necessities? That is the market serving the rich, not an accident.  Everybody should gain from our system, not just the top one percent. Technology is transforming everything; we cannot simply observe from here. We have to change our whole economic framework.  How might we guarantee everyone gains? How can individuals be trained and educated for roles of the future? These are the true enquiries. The path forward is not fixed. We can mould it. Still, it will call for courage, knowledge, and a readiness to fight for a better system. Let us ensure that everyone, not just the affluent few, benefits from the future economy

It might be getting better, or as I believe, was till 2022, but we are unlikely to see it ourselves. You're right, the gap between the rich and poor is broadening day by day.

Electricity, petrol, groceries, everything has skyrocketed the past two to three years. Everything started going downhill with COVID-19 and the Ukrainian war, but from how I see things, corporations were just looking for a motive to bump up their prices. This, paired with a corrupt government that's funding the rich, keeps increasing the price of daily goods that were once considered cheap. Just a few days ago, over 900 medicines saw massive increases in price because they were "too cheap." But that's how Greek politics work—by messing with the lower and middle class.

I think there is no difference between the economy now and before, where as you said everyone has to pay and find out where to get the money, everyone has to try to find and fulfill their needs,

it is getting worse every single time because the price of commodities keeps changing if you are constantly going to the market their is no way you will meet the same price the way you left it something must have changed about it. over the years it keeps changing but the change is usually slow and am very sure that we did not even notice it but no it is very different the change is fast and we are all noticing it. the world is not getting better in any way rather it is getting worse, and even the coronavirus period is better than this things were not that expensive compared to now so there is still a lot to be learned because we can not even eat straight anymore because of this economy everything is becoming very difficult. the evolution also contributes to making these things the worst. so it is time we make a serious decision for ourselves on our to make our own lives better. because the solution is almost impossible to fix, even now we have to provide for ourselves and also take care of how self, everyone is now responsible for themselves.

Just enjoy the current conditions calmly and comfortably while continuing to work in order to continue to produce and be able to buy food and other necessities without having to complain and describe more differences about past and present conditions. Consumers still run like they previously did and education and healthcare problems are still existing.

The average money spent by the common man has increased and less savings are common because of the increased spending. However troubles with saving money were previously present too and ponzi schemes and scams were not uncommon, they are still prevalent and will continue to be, just the mode of operation will change.

In fact, our world is getting better, not worse as many people think . But I feel like the gap between rich and poor is getting bigger, which is why many people feel like the economy is getting worse . Furthermore , it seems that the goods and products produced today are also more focused on serving the middle and upper classes rather than mass producing for the lower classes . Therefore , low-income people will feel their lives increasingly suffocated when earning money becomes very difficult due to competition while the prices of goods are too high compared to their income .

Not to mention the development of technology is bringing convenience to humanity but it also directly threatens the lives of the uneducated, whose income depends on manual labor. So it is understandable that they feel life is getting more and more difficult .

I agree with your opinion, because I can relate as well. Every year that passes is progressively worse for the economy; we're moving backwards instead of evolving. However, from what I understand, the OP is referring at a global level. I recall seeing a short documentary a few months ago that showed with statistics that the world is actually getting better (at least up to 2021–2022), even though the media doesn't portray it that way. On the one hand, I agree, the evolution of medicine and technology has broadened our horizons, but on the other hand, I've come to believe that the past few years after Covid have gotten progressively worse.

The COVID-19 pandemic may not be the only pandemic that have hit the world but it's devastating effect did change many things and activities around the globe, the challenges it created are still felt, ranging from work engagement, social relations and the macro economy performance. A lot of persons that were layoff are still grappling with unemployment till date. The economy is not in any recovery neither are there signs to that effect rather what we're witnessing on daily basis is hikes in prices of goods and services and high insecurity challenges which weren't there before the COVID-19 wave.

To worsen the harsh conditions the emergence of the Ukrain-Russia war, and other conflicts in the Middle East all these indexes put together can we really say things are getting better, life's standard is improving. Because from what it is an estimation of above two-thirds of the world population are finding it hard to survive the hard times. How many persons can actually afford a world class health care?

If you will see something change into your past and current economical status meaning there's an innovation and progress. This will just serve as an insight your state has a movement of changes for the future. Well it's bonded already because if you fail to get ride with the situation of the economy possible you will lose some of the opportunity to your life and also suffer of the current changes. Example you have a good job an investment in the future you use those to secure your self also by having an access with the convenience. Also you can see people keep doing improvements to their live and make more wiser.


Others have a privileges but of course it's up to you know if you will become as is what you have or look for more changes for better improvement. Just the rich people have the head start advantage but you can catch up with a good strategic in life.

You can only speak about the economy of your location because, in some countries, the situation might be the opposite. In my country, the economy has become worse. I remember those days when there were foods/feed that were reserved for animals because we had enough supply of food. Currently, those foods are now consumed by even the middle class. It was difficult to hear news of people who died of hunger, but today thousands are dying because of starvation. The problem is the gap between the poor and the rich has widened, and the middle class is non-existent.

In terms of education, technology and health care, there has been a massive improvement. Painfully, only the rich can access the best services. They are now very expensive. We used to have free public quality healthcare and secondary school education, but today, they are poorly equipped and funded. Only the rich can afford good hospitals and schools. I prefer to go back to the past because life has become hard, fearful and unpredictable.

The Covid pandemic is not the only pandemic the world has ever experienced, there have been many pandemics that caused much greater loss and damage in the past. Also, things take time to recover and grow, we were worse in 2022 but things are slowly getting much more stable. So to say that things are worse than before is too hasty, I don't think that's true.

Our economy is also cyclical and we are in a transitional period so there will be certain difficulties but I believe everything will recover and grow to new heights. Also, whether you feel the world is getting better or worse is up to you, the world will be different in everyone's eyes. People who earn more and more money will see the world getting better and better and vice versa.

At same there are many differences, there also many similarities. Since you talked about food and school access, let's draw some differences between these aspects in the past and now. In the past, access was more restricted, but on the other hand, the quality of the education and food were superior. Before food really tasted well, while now, cheap food (which everyone can have access) taste like nothing... If you don't have money nowadays, you won't have access to flavored and tasteful food anyway, because these are pretty expensive.

Education is the same, as nowadays everyone can go to school and get a degree, but it doesn't mean anything at all anymore, as there are many people with degrees who can't find a job or display professional skills which theoretically should have been learned and acquired during the college.

So, we live an illusion in the present moment, where you are just deluded to believe things are improving and you are having life quality, while in fact it's just that life quality decreased in some aspects, and that is the reason why it has become accessible to the masses.

This depends entirely on the country you're taking your reference from. Some countries that have been at war for some couple of years wouldn't say the present day economy is better than the past. Some that have witnessed a tremendous development will certainly agree that things isn't all that bad at the present compared to the past.

With the introduction of phones, cars and a lot of technological things that have come into existence, life has become much easier economically and socially than what it used to be in the past. It's just that we've gained exposure and wants life to get better than what it is now. Most of us work from home and can literally stay in our country and do remote jobs that's in a far away country. In the past, those kind of things never existed. They were restricted by the jobs that is available to them in Thier environmental and if they can't find one, they're left jobless. Those and many more are the things we are not suffering from.

The difference between now and the past is very visible, where the economy of today's society is in a very bad state, everywhere we see the economy is very weak at the moment, people who sell are complaining that there will be no buyers, the market used to be very busy but is now empty of people. visitors, due to the current economic downturn in society.

The harvest results that the community is currently experiencing are not as profitable as in previous years, where the harvests from the community's rice fields and plantations have decreased drastically, with very high inflation rates that are not in line with the income that the community gets, where all basic commodities continue to soar. price.

I think the economy have become worse than how it was some years back because of so many challenges.  Just some few years ago the world was combating pandemic which many are trying to recover from it. The pandemic disrupted so many activities which affected the economy so much because of the lookdown.

The politicians we have today are different from the ones we had before now, people who want to be in power for their own selfish interests but not for the interest of the people. There is a big differences between the past economy and the present economy, because the world has been evolving, life was simple and soft when agriculture was the only option, before technology and education was introduced, because from my point of view, I observed that the twenty first century has been very hard and the situation is becoming unbearable to everyone, Africa is also my continent and a lot of people are really suffering, because in olden days it will be very hard to see someone dieing of hunger, but it popular nowadays, current riches are the ones that can be classified as olden days poors.

It's hard to distinguish the past economy when we're younger and the current one when we're more aware of the situation of our economy. I'd say that this varies per situation that we're having. We recognize how tough life was before if you come from a very unfortunate family and now you're able to buy the things that you want because you have a job and you worked hard for it. Those who are struggling are starting from the beginning and there's no one to help them lift their lives up. We can say that we've been there and done that and the economy for them is tough but no longer with you if you're able to buy things that you want and you need. It's that life changes, we grow older, opportunities come and we take it. From my own perspective I see that There is a different between the past and current economy. Let me emphasis about Africa my continent. In the Earlier years past things where cheep meaning the poor was able to afford or carter for themselves, but today it is difficult for a common man to eat. And as well some who where poor back den can also be rich today. (Vise versa) curruption was also lesser compeard to now. People where agriculturally productive and self dependent, but as time goes on educational system was introduced, it was not really bad though but instead of education to create production it created Numerous numbers of consumers instead of producers who are even looking for job today. When I was younger, things where chip because there was enough production and almost everyone back then where producing one thing or the other. today some of our countries could have enhanced it citizen with some mechanism for production in different sectors, to be able to produce things and sell cheap, but they prefer importation. Thereby everything becomes expensive. The funny part is that majority of students graduates every year without a skill but hoping to be employed. forgetting that there is a large number of unemployed youths lining up on a que for employment in the society. So we are gradually moving from production to consumption.

I am not a resident of the US or EU (I am talking about the developed world), but I have friends there and the situation is different from what you describe....

The middle class is the main layer of consumers. And they spend money the same way they spend money. On food, education, entertainment, vacations,..... The middle class also owns major assets - residential real estate, savings, stocks.... Not all of them, of course, but many.

The size of capitals has changed, because in the modern world it is easier to earn money. And let's not forget about inflation after the mass of global turmoil of the last 10 years.

The situation is almost the same although some aspect is grow better than in the past. People can gets better school, food but they need to struggle to survive because this present harder than the past. Although people can get better situation than in the past, the price for each product is also increase and that makes people needs to make more and more money to buy it. People nowadays also feels difficult to get a work or buy food so that makes them become homeless. This number can increase when situation in the country becomes difficult and they are difficult to get their primary things.

Education can be found in every where not just in formal institution because in some country, that will be cost too high but parents in that country make sure their children can get what their parents can not get. The economy still hard for those who can not compete with others and they willing to accept their situation because they realizes that they can not get better but other people who are in the same situation still trying to have a better life. That depends on each people how they want to change their life to be better than before.

 Your observations are a bit faulty if I may say. Back then, the only thing you could differentiate a poor man from one who is rich is education. And by education I mean formal education because those who you regard as poor could afford three square meals and it's often healthy that's why you see them lead healthier and longer lives unlike now where even the middle class if care's not taken could be regarded as poor because the cost of things.
 Another thing is, back then prices weren't as inflated as they are now and you can get quality products but these days, things are so high and the products don't live up to expectations ( this observation is as a result of where I'm from).

It depends on your country of residence or how things are in your region. There are still poor people out there that are struggling to feed themselves, have a good shelter to stay or afford a good medication. I think anyone who can eat whatever they want to eat, go to school and sustain the bills and everything that comes with it is no longer poor. Although the person might not be that rich to the point that they will be flaunting flashy things, but they are not poor. In my country, there are still many people who are finding it very difficult to feed, not to even talk of going to school. Inflation is so high that people are wishing that we go back to the old days when the economy was much better. There are some countries where their old economy is far better than the present economy. The old economy brought many people out of poverty and they saw food to eat and got other things easily. Their living conditions were better back then than now. So it all depends on how your economy is working over there, but here our present economy is worst than our previous economy. People are struggling now to survive than we were doing back then.

People often brag about how they could afford this and that and forget what you actually had before, a crappy house, crappy car, maybe a tv or something and forget about the rest, not having a smartphone or air conditioning makes you poor! Take the US housing statistics about the size of home:

Oh, we have 10% -205 inflation and it's the end of the world, hell I've lived through 100% in the 90s and if we compare the living standard from your average east European it's like rushing in 30 years from the Iron Age to the Renaissance!

I guess life has improved in general. New technologies have been developed. As a result, mass production has become a thing. Resources are now easily exploited. Everything is now available everywhere. The world is becoming a single community. Trades routes are opened and goods are easily flowing in and out of every country. In other words, the times have changed.

Surely, however, there are trade-offs. Emerson once noted that "society never advances. It recedes as fast on one side as it gains on the other."

In life change is constant and so therefore it's expedient that we will continue experiencing different patterns of changes in all spheres of life and the economy is not exclusive to these changes.

Unfortunately, the changes we see today in our economy when we compare the past to the present we can vivid agree that things are rather changing from bad to worse with life getting harder and hasher than it has ever been despite the technological developments that society have evolve in.

I don't know about your view but the truth is that in my part of the world inflation is bitting really hard and as a consequence people are finding it hard to provide healthy three square meal, pay tuition fees and utility bills (some have dropout while others homeless), or even affording the basic necessities of life entirely without milking themselves, it was this bad when I was growing up as a little boy. Times have really changed.

the difference is too obvious  and contrary to what you said, the economy and the living standard of people is even getting worse by the day. For most rural setting, maybe in the past, education wasn't a problem but food was never a big issue for them and most of the natural resources that are present weren't discovered yet. Should we be comparing ourselves to the people who lived in the past knowing that we have better resource and better systems that will help us live a better life than them?

Even though most of them didn't have to go to school, they could still find a good means of feeding thier families that doesn't require a formal education. Can we say that such is the case with today's society? You need education for you to be relevant at almost all the things you're doing. And when you can't afford to get the best education due to the bad economy, it goes to affect your finance, family and how the society even views and relate with you.

In the past, the poor was struggle to find something to eat, but now they can eat junk food or anything that can make them full even though it's not good for health.

In the past, middle class wasn't struggle to eat and they can go to school, but now they have secure high position in the company they work and they already have few assets.

In the past, the rich net worth was $1 Million, but now their net worth become $1 Billion.

Things getting better, but you should know that people around you are getting better too.

I believe that many of us here knows that there are changes on the economic situation and how people deal with it or stand from the difference economic crisis from the past, we are still have a different status in life same as what we experience before, there are poor but they can now still eat the food that they wanted to eat unlike before the food is very hard to find, the people can now go to school easily they can sustain there school tuition or bills etc., so we can say that the situation is not changing they are still poor but they are not the same poor that we can see before, that even the daily needs is very hard to find or buy, so economy is not so hard this time or it is because we are now in a modern world that even people who doesn't have a stable work can have income on thier own way.
