Is there a difference in 0.01BTC and 0.01btc? It's hard to believe Helix would charge $95 simply for a grams account.
I knew that Helix/Grams had stopped working I was just reading and seen that they charged a fee of 0.01 just to have an account. I wasn't interested in one it just seemed awfully expensive to have an account and thought I might be misunderstanding what I was reading. I've just been reading about everything I can find to get more knowledge.
did you just convert 0.01 BTC to US$ based on today's BTC/USD exchange rate? Huh preev shows $9,536
re read the thread/article again, take note on the date it was published/written...
then check blockchain.info or other site for BTC price reference of that date Wink
btw, which Helix or grams account were you talking about? provide link please

Yes that's what I've done. That was in 2014. That would've meant the price would have been even higher in Nov/December of this year. I think I could do without the Grams/Helix account for anything more than a few bucks. It was the regular account I noticed, not the "light". They may have lowered the price by that time too. Anyways I just wanted to make sure I had the BTC/btc thing right and wasn't missing something.

Thank you very much for your answer as that cleared that up. The cost was probably a good reason it stopped working.  Grin

No? BTC and btc are the same thing. And about which "Helix" are you talking about? If you're talking about the Bitcoin mixer and the "Darknet search engine", both stopped working on December 2017. Can you provide more info on what you bought and where?

I had always thought mBTC and uBTC were the other denominations (for lack of a better word). I appreciate any help.
They are.
