You should not use a brainwallet, it is better to use an electrum seed as you can recover at any time.

It's something, you might think is easier to use, but it's also easier to get hacked. ^Sniff^

Go Trezor, and be safe!

The good thing about a brainwallet is that you can use whatever characters you picked and convert it to a bitcoin private key.
The bad thing is that someone else can just keep trying to do the same, and get your bitcoin.

Do not use a brainwallet unless you really know exactly what you are doing.
If you know what you are doing and still think you should use a "brainwallet", you don't actually know what you're doing. Smiley

Very true. Smiley

Before you create a brainwallet, please take a look at https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Brainwallet especially the precaution section.

What is a Bitcoin Vanity Address?  In some way it is a bit like having a personalised number plate on your car.

What exactly is the improvement of a Brainwallet in comparison to a standard Bitcoin wallet. Huh

Advantage: You can easily memorize your private key (or rather, a string of text which translates to your private key).
Disadvantage: So can anyone else with a dictionary. On top of that, dictionary attacks are a lot better than they used to be (e.g. using Wikipedia as a wordlist and searching for phrases), so anything you can think of is not sufficiently secure.

Do not use a brainwallet unless you really know exactly what you are doing.  Brainwallets are "expert only",  I am an expert of sorts and I do not use brainwallets due to the dangers involved.  Many people have had their Bitcoins taken from a brainwallet.

Again, my advice is to forget about brainwallets and stick to the standard wallets out there.

One of the safest wallets on the market is the Trezor hardware wallet, I use it.

Other than that look into deterministic wallets.  They are nice because you only have to backup the seed one time, keep it safe and secret, and then you never have to backup your wallet again.  This is cool because making backups of your wallet is just another thing to remember and it is nice to not have to worry about it.

Good luck!
