the thing about trading cryptocurrencies that you need to know is that, this market is not like Forex, it is small and manipulating it is so much easier. in bitcoin we keep seeing techniques of manipulation and FUD which leads to high fluctuations, sometimes unpredictable.

when it comes to altcoins the situation becomes even worse. the real manipulation is there. specially with coins that have a big premine.

all the things you know, such as reading the charts and analysis are good but sometimes knowing the news is more important.
Utimately you will find same things and even much more in forex trade, because it is more capitalized and advanced. FUD is equally found there and the big banks do get to manipulate the market too. Only major disadvantage of altcoin is that their low liquidity would not make for real market dynamics to hold sway.

You are actually better off having a good grinding in forex trade as it is sure to illuminate your path in cryptocurrency trading.

Trading cryptocurrencies is even riskier than Forex, you have to be aware that it's so easy to create shit altcoins that most of them just die and never recover, while this is very unlikely with Forex.
Forex trading is more risky compared to crypto trading for my experience because in crypto trading you have the choice if you will sell it to the current price or just wait to be pumped unlike forex in jusy a day you can lose your money.

Almost all terms used in regular forex trading are same for crypto trading. But bitcoin/altcoin market is much more volatile than forex so you have to be careful when choosing leverage ratio on margin trading.

Also it is quite hard to gain expertise on crypto trading than forex trading because of lots of factor, one of the factor is 24 hour trading. You have to always have constant update on price even during weekends.  Wink

Bitcoin- in bullish time
The differences of cryptocurrency trading such as bitcoin and altcoin and regular currencies or the fiats that we are using is they are virtual and physical. Crypto currencies are just virtual and you can only find and get those currencies in the internet while the fiats are able to get in real world or even in the internet if you are into forex trading. One of the common differences is also cryptocurrencies are vulnerable in manipulation because they are cheap and it can't be controlled by anyone while regular currencies or fiats cannot be manipulated because the government will not let that to happen.

There is a lot of differences between regular Forex trading and Altcoin trading (or what I can say several advantages of Forex Trading).  I say Forex Trading has a major advantage when it comes to speculation and news because a lot of media channels/sites show information about foreign currency that we can speculate about some channels even dedicate their news purely on that matter while the speculation in Altcoins depends mostly on individuals because there is even barely any news about Altcoins in the mainstream media. Also on the part of big players in Forex we might see big companies controlling the price on the other hand Altcoin trading's players are individuals who have large amounts positioned in their arsenal. Having a big corporation participate in your trades show signs that they are either profiting from it or offloading their shares. Other than that both Forex and Altcoin trading relies heavily on Technical Analysis.

Basically, the skills you need to trade forex and crypto is the same. It is just harder to make research on crypto than on forex. But the way you do technical analysis and market analysis is the same. And one more difference is that crypto can still be manipulated. So  the graphs and analysis may point one way but the price may go the other way.

the biggest two differences are the fluctuations and unpredictability of it. but it can also be a good thing. for example in the altcoin markets these fluctuations are huge and that means the possible profit is also huge and you really can't find that kind of profit in a very short term in any other big markets out there.

for instance Ripple has gone up ~360% in the last week!

but as i said there is also unpredictability, which means this 360% will pop at any time and price will fall!

hi !

I am new to trading bitcoins and I am looking for good tutorials and online content to study on the subject.
I noticed that the amount of content is limited for crypto trading thats out there, but so far I have not found any major differences
from my research between regular currency forex trading and crypto trading besides of better accessability and lower fees for cryptos.
Besides of that, similar software is used, the graphs, candlesticks and other things look the same, etc.
Therefore I would like to know if I can study material on the strategies and technicalities of regular forex trading and transfer
those 1:1 on crypto trading or if there are any major differences.

any tips, answers are appreciated

thank you

Here it is little hard to understand you , but I know that you want to know the difference between the cryptocurrency trading and forex trading .
Here almost the basic idea is same for both of then but in the case of the altcoin trading you can make big profit and also loss .
And in the forex trading you will.make profit Only it is because the reason behind this is that you can't get increase in the price of Fiat like altcoin .
Do in forex is less profit than in altcoins .
But here you should noticed that the risk in the altcoins trading is big than in forex trading . Because the Fiat in the forex trading can never be ran from.the market but altcoins may be ran away from the exchange.

I disagree with that. If you are a forex trader, you would say it is riskier since a small market movement can cause a person to lose million of money. Ij the other hand, crypto currency would be riskier if you trade with new coins which more likely dump continouosly. However, if you are trading with such cryptcoins such as etherum, monero, ltc, doge, and etc. with bitcoin pairs, it would be worth it and not risky.

It's practically the same,if you want to trade cryptos keep in mind that your base crypto in most cases would be BTC,and not euro for example, apart from that the principles are the same and you don't have to do anything differently, you'll get used to it pretty quickly
the trading principle is the same thing. however terjado some differences, especially in terms of the system and also how to invest our money. differences that make some people choose one of those things.

Principles of Forex and cryptocurrency trading are essentially the same, you can use pretty much the same strategies, follow the same technical indicators or patterns.
The main difference is explosive volatility and larger shifts of prices. You also can't use all technical indicator because they are just so slow and lag - when used to measure crypto markets.
Forex and cryptocurrency has a huge difference in terms of doing trade since forex profit is based on the lot size and pips while bitcoin depends on its holders. Forex has a huge market range which is the reson why it tends to change at small movement. In thr other hand, crypto currency isn't that huge same as forex but big enough yo have a quite stable price. It volitles since it can be easily dump by a huge investors/holders at the same time.

I first started using bitmex, this is because you can start using around 1,000 satoshi because it has a 100x leverage, I would recommend starting with at least 10k satoshi and buy one contract just to practice.

if you bitcoin trading in bimex use margin trading with leverage 100
is not diference with forex trading, becase same can margin call, youre realy trading in bitmex only use 1000 satoshi
i think only under one minute youre account can margin call

Trading cryptocurrencies 90% similar to forex trading (10% may vary due to less number of impacting news). So, you can study same materials as what you do have for forex trading. Almost all the tradings are same from fundamental and technical analysis's view.
A fairly forex traders who have a success rate of 60% should be a professional bitcoin trading. After seven years of trading forex and little time with bitcoin or crypto currencies trading I find out that forex is like swimming and ocean why crypto currencies compared to forex is like crossing a river.
