Don't put too much stock in the levels...it's just a number when it comes down to it, and doesn't really reflect on the quality of the content. Hell, I bet 85% of my posts are trolling or joking.
e: But do give props to the donator and vip status...they are kicking it down to keep the wheels turning.

I already have 5 posts and have been online for many hours yet I don't see my membership level increase. Is membership promotion an automatic process?
Yes look in upper left under your name. "Time online". Sorry it is 4 hours not 1. Usually it takes up to an hour longer for it to "upgrade you". So once it shows 4 hours online wait an hour and you should be a junior member.
