Yes, I posted about this here:

https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/this-connection-is-untrusted-1053184

I locked the thread because I thought it was probably just a problem on my side rather than the forum itself. Nobody else other than one other person (Operatr) had experienced the same problem.

I was not using Tor or a VPN. I was using a fresh install of Portable Firefox.

Hope this helps. Smiley

So then what would it most probably be if it's not a result of an exit node?  I also got this but on my tablet.

It can't be, since I wasn't using Tor.

Nevertheless, it seems to have been a transient problem (although a rather odd one I admit). Perhaps whoever supplies the SSL certificate for Bitcointalk had some issues which have now been resolved. I personally wouldn't be too worried about it. Smiley

I'm pretty sure theymos did reply. I have an email received from the forum saying he did. Probably deleted it. He said it was a

That's a MITM by a Tor exit node

That person there got it.  I haven't received any errors so far. I don't think it's the forum's fault since my certificate isn't showing to be the same.

Was this guy also using tor or just the clearnet? Couldn't it be a bad exit node if the other people were using tor?

It may be possible but we should wait a reply from theymos, an exaustive reply from him.

I start to think that tor is not longer secure, but it is only my personal opinion.

Even if others thought they were using the clearnet, it could still be a bad exit node as some VPNs use TOR to route their traffic. A few people got burned this way when they used a blockchain.info wallet with their VPN and a malicious exit node was stealing login credentials from blockchain.info wallets.

The fact that it went away after a short time (10 minutes?) makes me think it was TOR related.

I had this issue over Tor earlier today and suspected it was a bad/broken exit node, however it appears others had the same issue at around the same time (I opened this thread because the other one is locked) so I suspect it could be caused by something else on bitcointalk.org's side, perhaps by the new DDoS prevention service.

It lasted only a short amount of time.

I got the same error message:

Anyone else get it? if so, when and we're you using Tor?
