Of course yes, your Coins will grow wherever they are. There will be slight difference in price however...that is, Bitcoin could be 4000 on Poloniex and 4020 on another exchange. Prices are never exactly the same.

Buying Bitcoin or ETH and holding them in wallet is investment only and also the price increase will show in your wallet. It is just like buying stocks, gold or property. With time, price will increase and you can have good returns by selling your holdings at right time. Also, I would like to mention here that Bitcoin is best for investment among various other traditional investment assets like stocks, gold or property because Bitcoin gives huge returns in relatively short time and will less risk. In this year only Bitcoin has given almost 400% returns since Jan.
Earning bitcoins, buying them or storing them are all investments. I don't go for altcoins because they don't tend to produce high profits or you can say they are a way too slow and I am a hasty person. Bitcoins are so far the best option to earn huge amounts of money.

It might be worth buying cryptocurrency related domains and websites. If you set up advertising or affiliate programs on them, there is the potential to earn a steady revenue stream if you've got enough people visiting. Plus it is fairly low maintenance and only requires a lot of effort at the initial setup stage.

hello group, so after finally having no $ to invest in bitcoin when it was still below $2k as i really had none to invest,SMH, ive got a few bucks to invest now. Im not new to trading as i trade the forex market, ive done some research and think trading thru broker, not exchange, would be best bet, which is right up my alley, but really only plan to buy and hold, not trade it too often. any advice or tips on this would be helpful also, ty. now my question is, if i buy bitcoin or etherium and just put it in a wallet, would that be considered "investing" in it? like would my wallet acct grow as bitcoin or etherium price rises?
tkx group, appreciate any feedback..
Have a good weekend

Yes, it would be investing because you put your money in it and if the price of bitcoin or ethereum increase, its value would increase as well. It functions like a stock or any property that would increase in value overtime if there will be no negative events happening that would make its value decrease. There are some investors who prefer bitcoin because its value increase in just a short amount of time compared to other investments though there are times when its price fluctuates significantly cause it is not yet stable.

If you are not new in to trading you can try the put and call or what they call binary options. you can gain a lot faster but also can lose faster. since you already knew how to trade you can gain fast income in binary option.

You should see your investment as a group of selected asset, very precious valuable item you've put together. Of all the money you want to invest, let 80% go to bitcoin, 20% to the rest of altcoin

If you buy Bitcoin and Ethereum, as the price increases, your profits also increases and if the price tanks you're at a loss or your profits won't be much. But it's good to have some Bitcoin and Ethereum for long term investments.

Hello lelosayz08, I noticed you are in the state of New York. You could also consider using www.gemini.com. They should have lower total transaction cost then Coinbase   When you do a trade there are at lest three cost components.

1. broker commission
2. bid ask spread
3. market impact

The last component is  how much the market moves due to your trade and can large for microcap coins below $5M market cap. Most people just focus on #1 and forget the others.

Once you buy Bitcoin at an exchange that allows conversion from fiat to crypto then you can send funds to a crypto only exchange that trades alt coins. My recommendation is Bittrex or Cryptopia.

One important point is to own some Bitcoin long term and make sure you control the private keys.

tkx bro, yea been following bitcoin since around may/june. so i will trade it thru broker and buy hold thru wallet also. any recommendation on where i could buy some bitcoin/eth for my wallet? say i wanted to buy 1k in bitcoin..i live in NYC, what would be good wallet for USA also? if u know any
Try Coinbase. You can buy both Bitcoin and ETH there easily using your credit or debit card. After that you can shift to wallet either the one which Coinbase provide or you use any other wallet where you can hold your private keys. For ETH, you can transfer your ETH to myetherwallet and hold your ETH safely.

One more thing I want to add here is that there are no brokers in cryptocurrencies. You directly buy from sellers through exchanges. Exchanges just facilitate that.

Their have been reports that Coinbase has a lot of issues and complaints as of lately.

http://www.newsbtc.com/2017/08/30/coinbase-users-complain-issues-shortcomings/

However for the sake of just buying and not putting all your bitcoin in their, it will be a good idea. And just like he said, once your buy bitcoin in their you can transfer it to a secured wallet like Electrum and keep your funds in their and just hold of. I'm with you, just imagine if you have the money to bought a while back when the price is $2000 your investment should have more than doubled by today's price. There are lot of really miss opportunity in bitcoin and you are not the first one to experience such reaction.

yes right, I think it's an investment. Because if you do sell and buy on a regular basis, that I think is trading, but buy and hold and save, it's an investment. The same thing I did on bitcoin ,, bought it and then I put it in my wallet, and I will sell it when I feel the profit is enough for me.
You do not go wrong choosing bitcoin as your investment asset,
even for a very long time.
