@btc_angela @tbterryboy

It's not a bank, it's an EMI (Electronic money institution). There are a few differences but from a user point of view, it's the type of account easier to open when you're looking for something outside your country. For freelancers or people living in a foreign country, etc.

@dbc23 The KYC is never "stress-free" but like other banks/EMI, they ask for your ID and proof of residence. And no, the service isn't only for people from Ukraine, it's just that they have a discount for them.

@Ararbermas
It's available for people who reside in the European Economic Area (EEA). It's a brand new company so almost nothing to find on the web about it.

@nullama
We still need banks. Yes, Bitcoin = be your own bank, but so far if I go to the supermarket and start to use a Ledger device, they will tell me to go out. Smiley

@MinMan
See my reply above. And as for the team, so far I have never seen banks posting photos of their staff.

@Darker45
In some countries "immediate assistance" is after 10 days LOL and with a canned reply on top of that

Why should we be using Satchel? What is particularly in it that should convince us to create an account?

Personally, I won't get involved in a digital banking platform if it is not connected with my bank account. I admit I am using digital banking services, but they're offered by my local banks. In this way, should there be any untoward incident, it would be easy to personally talk to a bank staff for immediate assistance.

It is still a very new platform. I have clicked the link and I checked out their website, everything seems fine so far,but I don’t really have plans to make use of it because I already have a bank that I am using and they’re also offering all these digital services. Even if I’m to make use of this bank, or anyone intends to make use of it, I would still advise them to do proper research on this platform to be very sure of what they are getting into.

The platform seems like they are just offering services to those in the Europe, so do you have any idea if they are also offering services to people that are living in other countries? And what about their team, because when I checked their About Us - page I didn’t really see anything about their team?

I didn't click the link, however, is this a new feature though?

I think most banks have digital banking already specially during the pandemic wherein everyone is using contactless transaction.

Maybe I missed something here, but in any case, there is a risk as well with our digital banking footprints so just be careful.
I don’t think there would be anything new about this platform, it’s still the same digital banking that we have been seeing for years now.  And of course, most banks these days has digital banking, I don’t think there is any bank in my country that doesn’t have a digital banking.

I don’t even need to go to my bank’s physical location to be able to make transactions, order for a card, or do most of the things that I would like to do. Most things that I would like to do with my bank I can now do them making use of the online or digital banking app that is provided by my bank. So, it is nothing new, but that doesn’t mean we wouldn’t be seeing other digital banks that will be coming up here and there online. It’s just a matter of whether they interest you or not.

Bitcoin and cryptocurrency don't need bank to function. Banks
are third party and any third party is not for bitcoin. You can make payment, collect, transfer with bitcoin on your own either through P2P no middle man needed. I see this app coming in as such. This thread really won't get much of connection with bitcoin.

Strange to post this in a Bitcoin forum.

With Bitcoin you're your own bank. No need for 3rd party banking services.

I click the link and seems very new platform to me and looks for EU only?

 Actually i made my own research to obtain some feedbacks if however there are already some people whose using it but i found nothing , wherein only you.

By the way if you are part of that project, i think you should post it in other section and it must be informative so that everyone knows what is the purpose and advantages of it than other platform. Just saying if you're part of it

 I went through the site but was unable to find out if it was open to people outside Ukraine and If it is the KYC verification process is stress free but no valid information on the site pertaining to the above search.  Digital banking could be a new digital frame to international business but will even be more fun if the include crypto services.

Have you heard of banking as a service? I recently started using Satchel, it is a digital banking platform with financial services. We get access to many features such as a personal or business account. Check out https://satchel.eu
