Yesterday I met with a marketing company for blockchain and ICO projects, who interestingly enough have just produced a Childs book, about cryptocurrency and blockchains which you can explain to an audience with the age of about 5-8year olds. Im interested to see what sort of revenue and interest this book might get. I think blockchain is a very interesting hot topic, it should be a mandatory module of all computer science and networking degrees.

Knowledge is power, right? I’m all for including cryptocurrency and blockchain in curriculums. This article says it best:
https://www.express.co.uk/finance/city/975254/bitcoin-news-today-cryptocurrency-schools-education-university-course
“high quality financial education is key to making sure that young people have the knowledge to make important decisions later in life… In addition, our new computing curriculum ensures pupils will have the broader knowledge and skills they need to go on to specialise in cutting edge technologies and become actively involved in using and creating their own digital technology.”
Do you agree?

The currencies is not what should be taught  Angry Angry..It's what blockchains can do to make other things tick over..

I asked a computer science teacher about blockchain   do you know what she said?  she said i have heard of it Shocked Shocked

The currencies is the last thing they need to know  they need to know why would you use blockchains or central servers sending out commands but both can collect
information then send out commands TO DO WHAT THOUGH Wink  i keep my one a secret  BUT some might have their own ideas ..

But up to know i haven't seen many good useful ideas why and what for you will use blockchains ..

No you all need to pay me just like the ICO dudes getting free cash..

You would teach children to gamble?  well that's currencies ..NOT blockchain  to build then makes the monies for an actual product is what we must teach our children..
Not buy some crypto then bail when you thinks it's high enough  ..

Yes we can makes good monies BUT someone is left with the rubbish at the end of the day and it could be little dave you been teaching about currencies and not teaching little dave how to code and build stuffs..
Why are you so mad about it?  I read your posts above.

Well for me its a good news that universities is teaching about digital currencies , this will help a lot of students to earn and learn more about the cryptocurrencoes. They can also help themselves financially in school in paying their tuition fees and other miscellanious in school. If apply this kind of courses all around the world , i think that digital currencies will be able to growth and many investors will get to invest in crypto.

Recently there are so many crypto start ups and ICOs are offering jobs, i think its quite important to have at least a background knowledge of blockchain network, crypto and related fields, in order not to be left behind.
And there are need of accounts, financial advisors and so on, who are familiar with blockchain network.
Its trending now and it is the future.

Hmm...schools no, Universities - yes and yes! Its good to let the our young ppl know about the existence of blockchain but also a risk of it as well. I see the short courses organized by many Universities. But the first one I came across was a Coursera. I think it was very first courses on Crypto and Blockchain.

Its ok to introduce the new generations with this whole world, but they also have to know about the (real) consequences. The risk is huge, money can be lost in a moment.. If they explain the technology, then its ok, i guess. But if they start selling stories like "you can get rich", that's where the problem starts.

Good news to all crypto holders, and its an advantage for us too. Then, we are blessed also that we are now familiar with crypto currency, and now getting profit when do trade in the exchange, investing in the ico project and joining in the bounty campaign for us to be rewarded by their token as their payments for us if we do their task as well. So in the near future many students who finish their courses who will take crypto course are also lucky and bless too.

I agree with the qoutes said in general with everything that someone learn in coding classes such as Java, C#, C++ they will have the knowledge to code Blockchain easily, to code Blockchain you first have to learn the fundamentals of coding. So I kind of disagree on making a course solely based on Blockchain still a Project can be added into the course based on Blockchain, because to have a course solely based on Blockchain the person would still have to learn the fundamentals of coding. So a waste of money really.

Still a better way to promote it is incorporating projects  only into courses that are already provided.

I think this is great as it can bring awareness to digital currencies. It may actually be the future of currencies especially with a lot of countries already going cashless. It won't be a big leap to switch to digital currencies later on. If that would be the case, it would be best if the young ones are going to learn about it now. They will be the ones who will be using it in the first place.

I don't see there is any cryptocurrency related course offered by my country's universities, but it is good to hear that there is university offering cryptocurrency related course to its students in the US. This can help them know more about cryptocurrency and appreciate the technology behind it and hence devotes themselve to the crypto world after graduation.

My idea is it is good for giving some education training for school children about cryptocurrency but should need the age limit. because I heard
under 18 school kids also involve cryptocurrency trading. I think that's not good. because anybody knows about crypto trading. under 18 school kids have no any idea about money. it's very dangerous because of small kids easy to invite drugs and other illegal work that not good.

I think the purpose of crypto education is to teach students about the design and structure of the currency, as well as blockchain technology of course. I don’t think they would actually teach students how to trade. First of all, crypto was initially designed as a digital currency, not an asset. And second, crypto is part of reality now. Studying economics should automatically cover the topic of digital currencies. We are about to face a new financial paradigm, right?

I think there's no problem with regards to these problem as we could get positive impacts from it. Students would be aware with this futuristic type of money. The complicatedness of cryptocurrency is hard to understand, thus, a good education should be incorporated to it for students be literate about it. The only consequence of ut might be students might use it in illegal manner. But regardless of it, it is indeed that we should embrace this innovation of us.

I just read today, that "Vitalik Buterin teams up with Stanford to found the Center for Blockchain Research".
I personally believe that is very and very useful to teach the next generations about the concepts that can disrupt so many existing industries just like that.

I think when people see or hear the word "disrupt" they already think it's a bad thing. But blockchain, with the way it is designed, will be revolutionary. Everything will be seamless. We can finally use virtual currencies with ease, keep records accurate and accessible and basically digitize everything. We have to embrace this new tech if we want to stay ahead.

I believe this can regard that the world has created concern and see the importance of how digital currencies are affecting our world. Although I am not fully know about what the course will be teaching, I hope it is talking about more on technology, and how digital currencies can affect and enhance our world in different field or industry, rather than focusing on teaching students how to trade right? Behind digital currencies, that is talking about the blockchain technology behind, which should be the focusing part of how a particular digital currency is trying to develop an idea.

It's good and bad. It's good because it legitimizes cryptos, but bad is that I can just imagine an impulsive getting into crypto and making wrong move, losing everything.

A semester cannot teach the experience here. It cannot teach what failure teaches you.

like i use to say, cryptocurrencies will take much percentage contributions in the world economy soonest, because those countries that re rejecting cryptos ill begin to see the benefits of it even they have been seeing it, now nothing bad in starting taking course in cryptocurrency in our schools even at the university level.

Of course, man. Remember when the internet came into the world, about the middle 90's. Not only in universities, but also in high schools, they began to introduce internet courses to their students, as well as word, excel and related stuff. The crypto world is new technology, and maybe it is how the world is going to work in a decade. Universities must be at the head of that, not only by teaching but by researching all the related to the blockchain technology.
Besides, a complete insight into how the tech works will allow the students to find a good job in the future, or it should.
We need well-informed people on the crypto. It is the only way for it to really succeed in the future. If we continue with all this misinformation having place at the present, with all the scams, the robbery, crypto will decay and become something scammy from the past. The lack of information is one of the biggest problems the new tech has.
So, in conclusion, of course, universities must take the lead and include in their programmes all related to the blockchain technology and the crypto world. Just remember there is a huge difference between the blockchain and the crypto. The first is the tech behind many things, as massive data storage, for instance; the second one of the multiple uses that the tech itself can have, Understanding this new, rare, complex world needs time and explanation. Also, this is just the point of the iceberg. By researching more profoundly the tech, I'm sure much is about to be discovered.

Its a good news to all the students who wants to learn digital currencies , when universitiea and schools all over the world will taught their students about digital currencies , this will help them a lot in their financial problems in school and at home. Some other students now are learning about the digital currencies or what we called also the cryptocurrencies without any taught of their schools.

I think this is great news! Not only does it increase the awareness of crypotcurrencies to those who are yet to get to know them, but it also helps those interested in this field to learn more about it and how to benefit from it. The fact that it has been introduced into the curriculum suggests that it is a permanent addition to society rather than a fad.

It's a good news! Shows that cryptocurrencies have the future  and potential. But honestly it was to be expected, blockchain investments is future.

I'm with you on that one. Digital currencies being taught in schools cements the fact that cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology are already embedded into our socio-economic framework. I heard that we really are not only transitioning into using virtual currency, but into a safer virtual world as well. Our lives will be linked to technology.
