I tried it too, but my wallet could never even connect to a block source! I've read multiple bad things about DimeCoin... I'm staying away.

Don't know if you have seen one of my posts.  Seems a little buried.  But I would personally stay clear away from Dime Coin.  I was looking through the announcement thread and figured what the heck, even with some of the warnings as I know there are user errors.

However this was my experience.  I mined a block pretty quickly solo mining.  From here I got the credit for mining the block, however it came in from an address that was not mine, which was very odd.  Then I proceeded to find 3 or 4 other blocks.  These blocks briefly popped up in the wallet, then disappeared with no record.  I have a screenshot of it as well.  So I don't know where the coins went but it wasn't to me but so other random wallet.

That is my experience with this coin.  I would suggest staying away but that's not my decision

Hello Samwan and welcome to the forums!
I noticed that you're curious about Dimecoin. Dimecoin is a fresh new CPU coin with active developing team behind it. There will be added lots of new projects around Dimecoin soon like a marketplace I believe. Dimecoin has got plenty of followers allready and it's growing on increasing rate. I believe it has great potential but you never know, right?
You can always check dimecoin.org for more info!
