Limited in number. Limitless in potential.
After contacting support, I sent them the Extended Public Key (xPub) the balance returned and the transaction history is displayed again
This is why its always better to use their wallet only with imported addresses. Create bitcoin address on paperwallet keep proper backups and import those addresses to use with your blockchain.info web wallet. In this way you can spend your bitcoin easily as well as you will not loss full control over your bitcoins because you can use those addresses with other web wallets using it's private keys.
Yeah man. That's the side effects of using web wallets, especially blockchain because almost of the time they always updates their wallet and while they updates their wallets more and more bugs, errors pops out on that wallet service and users are the most affected of this update ofcourse. Desktop wallets are most recommended wallet to use to secure yoir funds.

Log off and log in again and if you get the same error, try using Firefox as that works better than Chrome. It happened to me as well before and I used Firefox that worked fine for me. I don't find any problem with blockchain so your problem should get solved.

Blockchain.info wallets are often targeted by phishing, maybe you've got that "surprise" too..

Yes but upon checking the URL at his browser, it seems to be legit. And for checking it, I tried to log in to my blockchain.info account to see for myself.

But everything seems to be fine, the transactions are all displayed, my wallet balance balance has been displayed which is 0.

Maybe that is just a bug, try to use other browsers on it or maybe they already fixed that bug.

Contact blockchain support probably, they are the only ones who can help you if something happened with your wallet.
I would recommend downloading electrum so you will hold your keys on a light wallet, or getting a hardware wallet like trezor or ledger for more safer way to store and spend bitcoin.

Check your address on another block explorer, see if it has money on it. If there's money on your address, then I guess you've found a bug in blockchain.info
If you see some new transactions you don't know about and your money is gone, then your coins were stolen. Blockchain.info wallets are often targeted by phishing, maybe you've got that "surprise" too..

Are you sure your using your wallet or maybe you created or logged in in a differet wallet?

Yes, I only use 1 wallet

Check on settings on addresses. You may be using a different address or whatsoever. I don't think blockchain will suddenly loose all your previous transaction an balance.
