Seems to me that you are wrong about your claim that it is a new way to play in Discord. Although, this is the first I have seen a gambling site that is on the Discord, AFAIK the only thing that is done on Discord is chatting and interacting with different community.

There some similar things on Telegram too! And as you said, this is something different, but why would anyone do it when we have so many good casinos where we can play it on "full screen"?! Not to mention the choice of games...


It's the thing with all of them! You need to learn how to use them... In most places, you need to ask the bot for help, usually /help! You will get the list of commands, it's where you check what you can do in that casino! Better ones have more options, simple ones have just a few! It can be a bit brainteasing until you figure it out, but if you spend enough time and energy in practice it will become easier!

I guess for some programmers it can be simple and easy to create a bot for discord/telegram and to run it with some small bankroll! But why would anyone risk money and lose time on this when there are so many good casinos?! To not even talk about the trust...

I am not sure how others feel about this, but I don't think I will try this, and I don't know what kind of offers/guarantees will be good enough for me to try it...

other than that, discord and telegram are vulnerable to being to be hacked and too many impostors, we must far away from that flatform. Agree with what you said, it's just for having fun with some satoshi or gwei. Of course, if OP can develop with the lightning network it's well good for discord mobile.

very rare that you will encounter a successful gambling platform created using social media channel like in discord or telegram. usually, players will only use them if they are in mobile or on the go or just using very small amount of funds. if you have no one to interact with other than the bot, i don't think they would be helpful when you encounter any problem. this kind of gambling platform has very limited features. and for me, am not comfortable sending funds to this kind of gambling channel. you can still get the best experience from casinos with actual websites and real support.

i joined the channel, agree to enter, and got confused already about what to do there. must be the reason why i have no idea what to do is because there is no one in the room but bot. i didn't know we can play on dischord.

but since no one there i guess most of the users don't trust this kind of platform. we are even hesitant with just a website with no https security. with discord channel only, it's hard to build trust.

Yes, this is something different on casual casinos that we are seeing but honestly I don't feel like on playing up with games into messaging platforms.

I have a few questions regarding the game. Though OP has created a huge elaboration of every questions asked by his beta testers maybe, but still it’s way painful for my eyes to go through all the text.
(It would have been more better if you could have mentioned all the important features etc in a image file and a bit shorten it).

Moreover OP does the game will be played only in a particular discord server? And the game is managed/controlled by a bot? Does all the player gets a separate deposit address to deposit?
And at last more important question is how can we trust the game and this is somehow new for the Bitcointalk community to try gambling games on discord.

Welcome to Discord Live, a brand new way to play on Discord.
Commonly, chat app based gambling gets a bad wrap, often times being dull, lifeless, and sketchy. Well, after 8 months of development I am here to break the stigma and offer a REAL casino on Discord, breaking the boundaries of what has been done in the past. During development and production this project is based on three primary goals, trust, security, and cosmetics. If we cannot guarantee that your crypto is safe while you play, guarantee that if the server was to be forcibly removed your crypto would be safe, or guarantee that the game doesn't offer an immersive play experience, then the code won't get written. I mean it, we're here to change the game on chat based crypto games.


How do I play?
Discord Live offers two currencies, Gems and Coins. Guess what! You can join and try our games out right now without even making a deposit. Just join and use the command .setcoins to set your coin balance and jump into any game channel with a lightning emote in the name. You'll play with 0 risk and get to know the games before making a deposit, although you cannot withdraw coins. Gems are played with in channels with a gem emote in their name, you obtain them by depositing with BTC, LTC, or ETH. With you're finished playing you can withdraw them, or hold on to them for another play session.

How do deposits & withdraws work?
Deposits & withdraws are completely automated. Using the .deposit and the .withdraw commands you can freely purchase Gems with Bitcoin and withdraw your Gems back into Bitcoin after you play. Our automated deposits and withdraws are currently limited to Bitcoin, although we will manually accept LTC and ETH as well. The process might just take a bit longer, as it is done manually. A primary goal is to enable our systems to automatically offer ETH and LTC transactions soon.

How do you handle Bitcoin transaction fees?
We've been asked this many times, so I think it is important to answer. Our main hot wallet that handles transactions is constantly being consolidated to keep our UTXO count within a perfect balance. We want to make sure there are enough unspents to handle withdraws, but we also want to make sure that withdraws are only using a single input for your transaction. Additionally, you can choose your withdraw fee! Just set a fee priority on your withdraw and you can pay a little more for a faster transaction, or pay a little less for a slower transaction. Currently we scrape the web for competitive sat/vbyte values to ensure you're getting the best value.

What happens if the server was forcibly removed?
First, we are compliant with Discord's ToS as it is written and all local laws in the area Discord Live is hosted. Keep in mind, we do not deal with fiat currency in any capacity nor we do not offer a way to turn the Gems you purchase into fiat. Although Discord is known for not following their own rules so we have many safe guards in place. First, when you log in for the first time you'll receive a secret access token you can use to login to your Discord Live account from any Discord user, if your account is removed by Discord you can recover your Discord Live funds with that code. Second, our service is entirely self generating, meaning we have a script that will generate the entire service from a completely empty server. The service can be back up and running in under 10 minutes after a force removal. Lastly, we have multiple rotating backup server to members to join to maintain contact in the event of a disaster.

What's Discord Live's future plans?
As of this post the service is released just yesterday. After rigorous testing and getting user opinions I feel the service is at a comfortable state to show to the public as a kind of "beta". I am not sure where the future will be for Discord Live, but currently the checklist is full of items. Leaderboards, Crash, Blackjack, massive giveaways, and LTC & ETH auto deposits are some of our current goals. In the future, I'd like to see us evolve to a website to provide an even fuller service.
