Coins per day is roughly

= (0.1005813032)*(hashrate)/(net_diff);

Hash rate is in hashes per second

That must be wrong. Lets say my VEGA hashes at 1850 h/s and sumokoin diff is 5442552232.667

= 0.1005*1850/5442552232.667

= 0.000000033991406

?

Sorry I totally ignored block reward and gave you a conversion factor specifically for Ravencoin Tongue

the formula is

Reward = (time in seconds)*(block reward)*(hashrate)/((netdiff)*(4295032833))

Thanks mate. Now that looks about right. Would give you a merit if i had any. Hopefully someone else gives you some.

Anyway tell me one thing, has ravencoin been good to you? Was hesitant about it at first, then i felt like it was too late to join, and now im still contemplating on whether to mine it or not. Lol. Is it still profitable?

No problem, I used the formula in my miner program. That's the only reason I had it haha Tongue

Absolutely!! Ravencoin has been very exciting to be a part of! Don't feel to late! Start mining it today! It is definitely one of the more profitable coins to mine but it isn't about mine and sell. Mine and HODL. Ravencoin has a promising legitimate future!

Now here's the part where I go sellout mode Tongue

If you do start mining Ravencoin try my miner Smiley

Ravencoin Miner: an optimized open source miner created specifically for Ravencoin.
v2.3
Fix miner not submitting shares when Hamsi was first Hash function!
6% increase in overall hash rate!
v2.2.2
Linux support
v2.2
Kraww!
Added estimate for RVN earned per day (displays every 5th share)
Linux Support
Cleaned up Display:
-Removed hash order display (Optional)
-Removed first algorithm display (Optional)
-Removed Core clock, GPU temp, and GPU fan speed display, now only displays Efficiency and Power
   -(Afterburner and other programs display this better anyways)
   -Note: Only removed display, the code to monitor these values is unaffected and any options related to them should be available.

The CryptUnit website is clearly flawed here. Don't trust shit websites like that. The difficulty is obviously much higher than what they use in their calculations thats why you are seeing high profit estimates. But in reality when you actually mine the coin you are shat on by a much higher difficulty.

CryptUnit = CrapUnit.

Is that the problem? I was thinking it had something to do with Monero and SumoKoin forks? I'm still researching details now but it seems sumokoin is now using the cryptonight-heavy algo which bricks ASICs trying to mine it. Will get back to this thread.

Was just checking the profitability of VEGAs when i noticed that a single VEGA could be mining around $10 / day mining SumoKoin based on CRYPTUNIT.COM. However, when i checked whattomine.com, profitability is only at $1.6 / day.

I've tried mining for an hour and it seems whattomine is the correct value. Does anyone know the formula or a simple way to compute mining revenue (total coins mined) using difficulty and hashrate?
