It is straight PPS at 4%. It works just fine from east coast US. Vardiff is set differently than you might expect from other pools, for example an S1 may get 512 or 1024 diff shares, but the average hash rate evens out. Nothing mysterious about them unless you count not being in English. Solid pool really.

^ Is this the real person behind the pool?
I can see he is from China from his post history though.

Does anyone have any experience mining on Discus Fish from US? Wondering how's the network latency, stales/rejects etc.

Thinking of pointing one antminer to f2pool.com ... may need to ask some friends to help with translating the signup form though hehe

looking to do same thing, ill try using gtranslate

I haven't been watching individual pools, but the network hash rate(last 504 blocks) over the last few days increase by ~10,000TH. The last ~24 hrs it has come down by ~4,000TH, which I'm sure the drop is very temporary.  Difficulty just increased by 22%, it's already estimated at 23% for the next increase. This latest hash rate surge is I think the largest bump in a short time period to date.

Could be the Neptunes testing or Bitmains s2 or AsicMiner has the A3 chips ready

Additionally, it's difficult for miners in China to actually mine on pools, generally requiring proxy/VPN services in order to get past the Great Firewall of China, so Discus Fish makes it much easier for them to mine on a pool.

Also, the Chinese should find the pool easier to use when the operators are Chinese and the site is in Chinese. Smiley

They have the home field advantage when it comes to ASICs, since the majority of ASICs that are actually shipping are all made in China.  Additionally, it's difficult for miners in China to actually mine on pools, generally requiring proxy/VPN services in order to get past the Great Firewall of China, so Discus Fish makes it much easier for them to mine on a pool.

Discus Fish is getting Huge, I wonder what kind of Asic equipment their miners are using.
