How will you generate the money to pay back? Because it is certain the discussion is long term compared to the one-off subscription.
It’s all tied to the subscription. Users are rewarded every 30 days based on how many replies got their discussions and only discussions and replies that were created during that 30 days period counts. But that will change.

I decided to shut down the site until a free subscription plan will be implemented. There were no active subscribers, so I don’t see harm in that.

Thanks everyone for your comments and thoughts.

I will make an announcement when the site is running again.

I think most people would see it as you trying to get money from them. Facebook has lots of posts, it's free for sure but they collect their users data and then sell them. As you said earlier, they also have many ads, but people are fine with it since they don't have to pay anything. Regardless of whether they want to spam or not, they don't have to spend money to write their thoughts.

The point is, most people would not pay for subscription for something that does not give them something unique, especially on a new platform, even if it's free on the beginning. But anyway, if you still believe on this project, hopefully you have some luck.

I get your point, I will think about it, maybe a free subscription plan would be the right solution here.
Thanks.

The subscription here works as proof of intent, that you are actually interested in discussions. I hope that clarifies things a bit.

I don't think people will support something like this and I don't encourage people to support your site I don't either
it's like this you have a rice field you ask farmers to plan rice but instead of you paying them you want them to pay you and keep their rice .

Or another example you have a factory you want to people work here but before they do they have to pay you first and you own their work, it's anti labor.

Thanks for your reply.
I may have misrepresented my project. The main focus is discussions, earning is more like a fun bonus. So you shouldn’t look at this as a job. The subscription here works as proof of intent, that you are actually interested in discussions. I hope that clarifies things a bit.

Well this is unheard of when the trend is paying people for creating their content you charge them to populate your site so you can have a cash cow without lifting a finger I'm glad Mark Zuckerberg and Theymos did not do this

by the way would you mind sending this forum a donation for creating this topic here.

I don’t think it’s fair saying “without lifting a finger”, I created the site and will continue to maintain it and improve it. You can calculate how much I would get from a subscriber. Considering fees I have to pay, I’m sure if I can get any money at all. Facebook doesn’t pay anything, but makes tons of money out of people’s content and personal info by showing ads. This project is ad-free, so where else can I get money from?

By the way, if I wanted a cash cow, I would have created a casino.

Does it not affect the actual flow of the discussion? Like for instance, if someone wants to have a fruitful discussion in which sometimes their ideas can't be contained only with one reply but rather consecutive posts on a specific thread.
There is no limitation on actual replies, to prevent abusing there is a limit on replies that will count towards reward sharing. For example, if 100 different users left 1000 replies in a discussion, only 100 will count.

Replies cupped at 1 (one) reply per user per discussion, so I don’t think it would be cost effective. But if someone will try to abuse the system like that and it would be cost effective, there definitely will be some changes.

Would love to see your cash flow projections and growth numbers...
There are no projections.

Even you offer a free subscription, we can get the earnings after 30 days... it's too long IMO. Can you make it more shortly? 1 week maybe?
I don’t think so. If the period would be shorter, abusing the system would be much easier. Plus, less time to get replies and the reward pool would be smaller considering it's tied to subscriptions.

Regarding account limitation, it seems anyone can create multiple account to get more profit... it's true? I wonder if someone create many account and reply each other in same discussion to maximize his profit

That’s why I offer a free subscription to test it out.

There is a limit on creating and editing discussions.
You can add only 100 discussions during a 30 days period. If you want to add more discussions, you can create another account.

8 usd per month is not small amount to pay for something new that we don't know how it works.
That’s why I offer a free subscription to test it out.

There are no discussions as far as I can see, and help/explanation is short.
The project is on diy budget, so there is a lot to improve and I will continue working on it.

It is also using XRP shitcoin for payment, so it has nothing to do with Bitcoin if I am not mistaken.
It's not about the coin, you can exchange XRP to Bitcoin or to fiat currency in no time. Making small payments (2 USD) with Bitcoin would eat tons in fees, so Bitcoin is not an option. But you are correct, I moved the topic to Service Announcements (Altcoins), my apologies.

Sorry but I don't see this will get any traffic, as people can write and talk anywhere for free.
In my experience you can’t. If you want to discuss something serious there is always someone who let’s say not interested in discussion and ruin it for everybody else. Subscription works as a filter here and a person who is actually interested in discussion can earn back the money.
Thanks for the reply.

And I pay people for their content (discuss & earn), but with subscription money and not with ad money like youtube (the project is ad-free). 50% of the money goes to the reward pool that is shared between users based on how many replies got their discussions, and 20% goes to referrers as a part of the referral program.

Would love to see your cash flow projections and growth numbers...

You can request a cashout on balance page.
When you make a cashout request USD converts to Ripple (XRP) using the exchange rate on the moment of the request. You can see your transactions to find out how much XRP you will receive.
Cashouts are manual and could take up to 24 hours.
Minimum cashout 2 USD.

So I would have to pay $8 just to discuss about Cryptocurrency  Cheesy  when I get paid here just posting with the signature I'm promoting, you are asking people to populate your site with content instead of paying them to post their content just like they do on Publish0X
Can you explain further, are you bigger than Youtube and Google where they pay people to publish their content in their platform.
It’s not about cryptocurrency, you can discuss whatever you want (politics, social issues etc). The only relation to crypto is payment, you pay for subscription with crypto and receive your earnings in crypto.

And I pay people for their content (discuss & earn), but with subscription money and not with ad money like youtube (the project is ad-free). 50% of the money goes to the reward pool that is shared between users based on how many replies got their discussions, and 20% goes to referrers as a part of the referral program.
