I don't take loans, ask for sig if I ever do.
Okay they went outside of the usual crypto game stuff by doing an FPS, sure, but here's the thing. The market is FULL of fps games, and looking at thee trailers, it's similar to how you'd feel with warframe, COD, and stuff like that. If they don't improve on the game highly doubt they'd beat those titles and no, adding crypto coins does not help in promoting the game to be actually better than the others.

Other peeves about it is how is it released on epic games but has a beta right now? Plus I saw some of the coop playthroughs and holy it was glitchy as hell. How'd it win game awards? Or is said awards just so... unknown (at least idk about it) and that's why it won lol.
What about the token reward? I think it's still considered as profit generation, unless only if the token is also worthless. Axie started slow like any other start-ups but as soon as more people noticed it and think that it was a great game and has the potential to make them money, that started its success.

It's only sad that it died down later on but many projects are also like this. Well at least, a lot of people have still benefited with it, so they don't really feel that bad. I don't know if this project will have the same faith with it and the rest but let us only find out. As you said, anything in cryptos should only come in second but our priority is still our job, business and others that are already proven to earn us a stable income.
Individually yea I guess it's good since people still make money but for the game itself and its long term development? Definitely not. The market is basically the lifeline of the game. If it gets destroyed, it inevitably ruins the price of the token, which leads to loss of players which leads to well, the disappointing end of a game. Sure you can argue that it can go back up when players join again but no, people who make money out of it generally won't come back when it crashes imo.

It’s good to have a distraction for you not to worry that much with your investments and playing is fine, as long as you don’t invest money and expect profit from it. Seriously, there’s a lot of games out there that offers some profit but their project itself is not making big profit at all, it will be a big risk for them and for sure many developer will not last long if they don’t make money from it.

Game that rewards token without generating profit itself using the game is useless. It will just fall to the same cycle of crypto projects like Axie that will eventually die down once everyone is already playing just for the earning and no one is buying the token anymore to fund the team rewards pool.

I believe having a job is more better to earn money rather than playing games and waste rime on it just to get a measly token that you don’t have any certainty that it will grow in value in the future.

I bet some of us have dreamt about a crypto gamefi project like Modern Combat, PUBG, or at least a game that allows you to have fun while earning tokens, especially during a market downturn.

So, I tried checking out several projects with similar narratives when I stumbled upon MetalCore, a free-to-play sci-fi MMO game where players fight in mechs and vehicles on the planet Kerberos. It features PvP, PvE, crafting, faction choices, and player-driven guilds (Baronies).

The in-game economy uses the $MCG token, and the game is developed by experienced industry veterans. Well, I feel like we all need to calm our nerves during this present market state, and what better way to do that than with a game? What are your thoughts on this?

I saw their preview on Epic Games, and the game doesn't look like it would be enjoyable to play. I think the close fight part of the game isn't very good, but that's probably because it hasn't come out yet. Also, you're not right when you say that people have dreamed about the FPS sci-fi idea.

There are a lot of crypto gamefi out there that are more enjoyable to play. Have you ever heard of Nyan Heroes? Nyan appeared to be even better than Metalcore. Even though Metal Core hasn't come out yet, I think the gameplay will be dull, and it makes me think of HALO.

You said that Metalcore was made by experienced game creators, but the gameplay looks so bad. Finally, I don't hold high expectations for metalcore games.

At this moment in time it should be obvious such projects are not sustainable, the developers of those projects try it to make it seem as if their model was sustainable by trying to create an environment similar to what we see with some popular games.

But those games have millions of players that play the game just for the fun of it, so there is an environment which can support several professional players, but when everyone is playing with the intent to obtain profits, and no one is doing it for the love of the game, then a collapse of that model is inevitable.

Yeah, I dreamt of that too.

Nice game you found there. I am not in mecha things when it comes to MMO. Heck, I didn't even like RF online before. So I am out for this type of games.
Right now, I am testing the game made by WeMade. They are also the ones who created MIR4 which I played for years but now sold my account through NFT. The price is just right because I enjoyed the game, and the company with my guild mates, and I loved how my character was built.

Now, I am playing Night Crows by the same company. I am not yet hooked to it but I think once I hit a certain level, many things will unlock and that's when I will get busy.
Good luck though on your game.

Just as you have said it OP, everyone loves to have fun especially when they know what it means to play a game and earn from it, more like getting rewards from your leisure time. The $MCG game that you mentioned is an open-world sci-fi MMO where players fight in giant mechs and vehicles on the war-torn planet Kerberos, they get rewards that can be exchanged. They are listing on platforms like your not and ton coins, Bitget has even announced its listing, so you should expect game players to be aware of it already.

Your post seems like an ad. There are a lot of ways to distract yourself if you need to, video games are a good option, I'm using it myself. Not from crypto, actually, it's not bothering me that much, but from other stuff.

Gamefi isn't really trending anymore and it's a challenge. Asides playing the game. though one can earn these gaming tokens via launchpools or PoolX cos I discovered MCG will feature there & probably sell off at your discretion...
Yeah, it seems the hype has died down from all the gamefi, as compare in the last couple of years. But who knows, maybe they will make a big comeback, but the thing with crypto is that it's based on FOMO and what is the latest craze and you need to jump it as early as you can to make profit like the Axie phenomena during the pandemic and post-pandemic. And then there's a lot that pop up that tries to compete with it. And then when the market is saturated, the hype died down already. So now, we should be looking for the next one and I think it will be based everything on AI. Maybe P2E + AI could be big if not, already big with some projects already developing that one. AI though is more challenging if I'm not mistaken, even Facebook or Meta have been digging their hands on AI and so far, there is no working model.

Being developed by industry veteran doesn't always equate to good quality triple A game.

entire game industry depends on hundreds of employee to make a game, a game developer veteran more likely won't create a high quality game out of nowhere. probably just want to cash in on the blockchain game trend.
personally i won't touch it or have effort to earn their token, i mean what could a downturn market do to a project with unproven tokenomic? probably massive dumps right off the bat.

not to mention this kind of game usually lack polishing, i'd be building up stress instead of having fun Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy.

If we'll search for all of the games that have their own tokens as reward with in-game playing, you'd see a bunch of them and you will never be able to count all of them because they certainly a lot.

But questioning how sustainable they are, we've seen how many of them were gone like for the past years.

Well, I feel like we all need to calm our nerves during this present market state, and what better way to do that than with a game? What are your thoughts on this?
DCA BTC, that's what you might haven't done yet.
