I think its good idea to diversify your hodlings by byuing a propetry with eth or bitcoin? Roll Eyes

Depends on how much money you have in crypto. I would go with stocks before real estate. Real estate requires a lot of work to work well, so I wouldn't get into it until I had several millions to employ a real estate agency to maximize profits while reducing my own workload.

You will hardly find a property being sold for Bitcoins or Ethereum. However I believe it's a good kind of investment depending where you are buying the property, in returns it's not better than Bitcoin investment at this moment, but from the safety point of view it's more worthful. If you are a whale it's easy for you to use your Crypto-Currency profits to invest into real estates. Developing areas are a good choice and if possible, locations where the taxes are cheap. Another idea, which I think it's much better than real estates, is countryside property, so you can develop a production, don't depending renters or buyers to make profit.

I don't think he means buying a property with bitcoin/eth as the currency. I think he just means diversifying your entire investment portfolio by putting some % into property. Property is a great investment because it can be used as a form of constant income if you have some apartments/housing for rent on the land as well. There, of course, come some downsides with being a landlord, but having that constant stream of income is very flexible and nice.

I thought that because of this:

Anyway, yes, that is one of the most adviced investments, this way we can avoid the fiat depreciation and enjoy the development of some areas where our properties are located. But strategy is needed, it's worthless to buy properties somewhere full of violence, unemployment and expensive taxes. In my country some big cities were a paradise before for real estates speculators, but now these places became only ruins and ashes, consequence of a disgusting politic administration and weak/corrupt population that allowed the situation become chaotic.

Real estate in a never dying investment and it's a need and at the same time an investment if one day will come and you want to move to a better place. Basically, everyone has a goal to buy their own house, bungalow or not as long as you can live there and it can be a way to remember the sacrifices you made just to pay the mortgage. And you had to answer this, why in the first place you are holding eth or bitcoin? When you had enough profit how you'll spend them?

If you already have enough bitcoins with you, it is nice to include in your portfolio a real estate or estates, since we all had gained profit with cryptocurrency, we need to cash in sometimes, knowing that the market is volatile, it is still nice to have a roof above your head. It is true that digital currency is the future, but we also want that future to be safe for us, let us include real estate in our investments as well, in that way, we can say that our money is working hard for us.

It depends; real estate is always a good idea, because a house is always a house.
But - as investment - sometimes is not so good: for exemple, now in europe taxation on real estate is so high that it's not convenable to invest.

Exactly, Real state is the best investment out there. Back in 2008, I learn to invest and buy a home from my offline work before. Your investment could double in just a couple of years. Now my place can be sold x4 or x5 by today. What I did is that I have rented, yes, I didn't live there, I stay somewhere which my wife's family own. So I'm getting a continuous stream of income monthly and I used that to pay the mortgage and in the next 10 years, I will fully own that place. Of course there's issues with tenants from time to time but we can work things out. So I'd say for those who have earn from bitcoin to re-invest it to real state/house, you won't regret your decision. And you can even give it to your children as form of inheritance when the proper time comes.

Was also thinking about this. There's some city where i spent some time, where apartment prices literally multiplied over the years. Some would call it a bubble. Wink Point being really guess it depends on where you wanna buy the real estate, for example ppl commonly say real estate prices are overvalued in Europe, while in other places there might be developing markets, or high demand for rental housing if you'd be interested in renting out the place. Seems like there's loads of things to consider, tried looking into it just a little and there's loads of information cuz this is also a thing people do- investing in real estate. Seems very possible though, I think it'd help if you're not wanting it to be in a specific location. So yea it's something i'm also seriously considering, i got kind of overwhelmed by the information overload when i started getting into it and i'm not in a hurry, but the idea is with me. Would like more input on this from people with more knowledge/experience, and mayb we can share resources here or something!

Due to the many variables of the bitcoin price, contains large amounts of purchases, some risk. A House, a car, such as certified and licensed must be a different method to get the goods. Because this kind of official business, works with concrete evidence.

Wage growth has stagnated over the past few decades. Economists admit inflation has grown at a faster rate than wages in recent times.

This low wage growth might be correlated with the decline of value in real estate. The principle behind it being that real estate becomes more difficult to afford as wages reduce in contrast to the effect inflation has upon prices. Simply put due to inflation, prices are growing at a faster rate than wages. This effect is felt most strongly in items of larger value such as real estate and home markets. This precedent could apply to many aspects of economic slowdown observed recently.

Banks have tried to keep real estate demand constant by reducing loan qualifications to allow even those who can't keep up with mortgage payments to qualify for loans. Governments too have shifted tax revenues towards programs which help people pay for real estate(if I remember right).

I think one of the main reasons real estate markets appear stable involves heightened foreign demand. Wealthy chinese and foreign businessmen buying up real estate in the USA could be one of the main reasons real estate prices aren't declining.

The potential for real estate prices to decline off of inflation growing at a faster rate than wages causing real estate to become more unaffordable over time, could make real estate a poor investment.

There might be good potential for house flipping or real estate development, which can take cheap land and multiply its value. But in terms of just straight real estate investments, I'm not certain if its a good move.
