I just fired up the live stream, and I'll be damn if they aren't talking out alternative currency: http://new.livestream.com/dld

The speaker was Jack Dorsey of Twitter, exploring alternative payment plans.

I watched the tale end live. I'm sure there's an archive video somewhere.

What fools we must be to see value in Bitcoin when it is ignored by such geniuses as Sean P. and Mark Z.

This looks like a corporatist/government sponsored event,

it is. besides that the sponsoring is from a publisher having ties to the INSM, a powerful lobby organization known for trying to influence journalism and public opinion by eh... unconventional means. like bribery, covered advertising and planting texts prewritten by companies as journalism.

Didn't you see all status updates are by themselves? Their policy is to delete all replies I guess. I've seen this before on other pages, don't think it has anything to do with bitcoin.

Anyone in MUNICH should stop by and see what's going on.  This looks like a corporatist/government sponsored event, so I imagine that only technologies which can be monitored or controlled by the government will be allowed onto the agenda.

Check out the digital - life - design conference running right now:

http://www.dld-conference.com/program/
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Digital_Life_Design

They do not seem to speak about bitcoin at all. It still seems to be very far away for some mainstream people.

I politely asked about Bitcoin on their facebook site and got deleted pretty quickly:
