Correct me if I'm wrong, afaik exchange like etherdelta charges you some fees on every order you make no matter your order will be filled or not because you pay the fees on the placement of the order. But most other exchange such as bittrex, poloniex, livecoin, etc wont charge you a fee for your order before your order is filled. So normally fee is only for succeed/finished order.

The Exchange charges a commission only for the transactions made, that is, with your profit. Since the transaction was not perfect, then there is nothing to charge a commission.

No fees if the order has canceled. Fees just for order that reach the target. And fees taken by precentage from your transaction

Of course no fee, fee will be counted only if the orders filled!
Then nothing refrains people/companies from placing and removing thousands of orders per second?
Exchanges could also charge for that.

They could charge for that, but that would simply drive people away to other exchanges that don't. Traditional exchanges and brokers usually don't charge for unfilled orders either.

Note that this is also the reason why you should largely ignore buy and sell walls and why market depth can hardly be trusted.

It will never have happened because you are trading in the centralised exchange site, the exchange has no right to charge those are cancelling their orders.

Because that means if their orders haven't executed by the system and then their funds will be back to the hot wallet again. Fees only applied when your warrants get executed.

No it won't

Because the fees are taken from the transaction you had, if you didn't have a transaction so how come the exchange take the fee?

So please, cancel your order anytime you want Smiley

Do the exchanges charge fees if you send an order and cancel it before it gets filled?

In Cryptopia it doest not. Also i really doubt any exchange will charge you fee when you cancel order, If it does, then you will lose all youre investment in "cancel fee" rather than you lose you're investment because the price of coins falls down.

Yeah you are bang on, nothing stops people from placing and replacing those orders but the thing is people want those coins and those orders will never stopped begin place. It would be insane if they took our money regardless of whether they offered the service or not. That is like you placing yourself in queue for a haircut then deciding I don't want a haircut and the barber then says you have to pay $1 for the queue, you would be incensed. Same deal here it simply will never happen you are protected, and after all they want your money eventually pissing you off would accomplish nothing Grin.
