this was true at some point in the past where there weren't that many exchanges. like back in 2013 where there was Mt Gox which controlled more than 85% of the volume and then there were other exchanges which had 1-5% of the volume. so they could control the price.
nowadays the biggest exchanges only control less than 10% of the volume. you can not "manipulate price" by  that much control over the market!

however this is still true in altcoin markets. because there are exchanges that control near 99% of the volume of some altcoin and the rest are only arbitrage chances so they can manipulate altcoin prices that easy. whether they do it or not is another discussion that we may never know the real answer to.

im not a market price specialist in my own understanding
exchange operator did not manipulating the market price or editting something to control it. exchange operator only uploading the transanction is a system which is the transanction is encrypted.
Price is changing depend on the supply and the demand they change the price from time to time due to buying and selling process on the particular exchange thats why exchanger are not same value

The exchange operators are undoubtedly undertaking arbitrage trading, which is a trade on the difference in value at the particular exchanges at any given time.  But, they do not affect the larger market sentiment, which is driven by demand and supply factors, beyond the scope of the trading fluctuations of these exchanges.

this is the kind of subject that causes a thread to have more than 30 pages without any conclusive proof being found, I've read a lot on the news sites on researches done because the people who did the research believe that exchange manipulate prices, but since I did not see proof of this, I can not say that's true. I see pump and dump case on yobit and I also see strange exchange have a lot of volume. but concrete proof of such manipulation I have not yet seen

According to this article the real market bears or bulls are the exchange operators themselves and not the regular users: https://masterthecrypto.com/exchanges-manipulation-cryptocurrency-market/

I am not a trading expert and honestly i haven't understood very well what's written in that article.
But i would be grateful if someone can explain this key phrase, or if it is too long to explain, just link me some 101 primer about the topic:

The current market seems to be largely driven not by organic buying and selling, but by exchange driven manipulation of the spot market to exploit the current dynamics of leverage trading. We just saw it again now as exchanges liquidated 3K long positions but you can see this pattern of clear manipulation over and over in the last few weeks

Also do you think that these problems can be solved if all the people move to highly decentralized exchanges like Bisq ?
