@Bitbtc8 - I'm not living in UAE - but a close friend is (who's arranging the buying-shipping) works and lives there. Though I don't wanna disturb him frequently in the worst case I can use his address-contact for local servicing.

@adaseb - yes. What I meant is to know if there were some card brands that provided such W cover under all or aleast the major jurisdictions. Like in TVs - I've heard of some Sony and Samsung and in watches Rolex and few other brands have such coverage.

If I buy brand new GPUs with tax invoice say in UAE (or Saudi or other Gulf countries) and ask friends or relatives to get it to India...will the manufacturer MSI, Zotac, Inno3d etc honor the warranty on those cards in India if any issue arises? Does it depend on source-destiantion country-regions?

The cost difference is huge...in some cases almost 40% which brings my breakeven down significantly and on a 6-8 card entry-level rig of 1660s and 3060s it makes quite a difference

There is no such thing as an international warranty.

Warranties are only covered in the countries (or block of countries under the European Union) where they are bought.  Warranties are related to the consumer protection governed by the laws and regulations of that country where they are bought.

Here are my previous experiences with warranties, all of my cards are bought from Newegg global and I live in the Middle East:

A MSI 1070 RMA, they asked me to ship it to USA, they replaced it with a 1080 which was super neat! but only accepted to ship to a US address, so I had to use a freight forwarder.

An EVGA 3070 DOA RMA, they asked me to ship it to Germany, they shipped it back to my address in the Middle East.

A Zotac 3060 RMA, they asked me to ship to USA, and they would only ship the replacement to a US address so I had to use a freight forwarder as well.

MSI took around 4 day to process the card once they received it. EVGA processed it in a single day and Zotac took a week.

Hope that helps!
Has the company reimbursed you the cost of delivery to and from another country, as well as courier services?

I look at the offers on this site, and there 1660 super cards cost $ 840, in my country these cards can be bought for $ 1000.
Now the demand for video cards has decreased and it is probably not so profitable to buy in other countries.

None of the companies reimbursed me for any of the shipping fees, its takes less than $100 to have them shipped to and back from the OEM. EVGA covered the replacement shipping fees though.

By the way you should not worry a lot about warranty, I have friends who bought over a thousand cards, and the all say the failure/DOA rate is less than 1%.

Thanks so much everyone for the great response. At least my suspiciion is confirmed that basically the answer is kinda like ~ "it depends".
I'm budgeting for my first rig - bunch of 1660s and 3060s, maybe one 3070 if I get...and it helps to know the risks:rewards upfront when you're doing these calcs.
I think I might still end up buying from UAE. Will update this thread with whatever I do incase anyone else is trying to follow my lead.

@DesertMiner -- I've seen Newegg Global for India, but their India prices (with shipping and customs) turns out to be higher than Indian local prices anyway. So ruled it out.
Anyway thanks for your super detailed answer.
The question is are you living in UAE? If no don't even bother because once something happened to the card no one will be responsible for it, heat is the main culprit with GPUs and also water, make sure none happens and your GPU will live longer

Even if he bought them from UAE and had the cards shipped to India, in the unfortunate event of a failure he can always ship them directly to USA/Germany. The main point is to stick to reputable brands. I can vouch for EVGA/MSI/ASUS/Zotac/Gigabyte/Sapphire/Powercolor.

Generally for most products the warranty only applies if it’s in the country it was sold in. Your example is perfect because it’s one reason why prices differ from one country to the other.

I’ll give you another example. If you live in Canada, autos cost much more than USA generally. And depending where you live, the border can be a quick drive. So many people can easily drive across the border and buy a car however they don’t do that because the warranty won’t be valid in another country. Dealers in Canada would be upset because they make less money since people are buying south of the border. With GPUs and other electronics it’s the same situation.

$CYBERCASH METAVERSE
The is the first reason to buy from companies direct, also manufacturers are different so find one that guarantees warrant, I made a mistake months ago where I bought a gtx 1660 super and something bad happened on my end, the seller refuse to take the card back, dont make same mistake

Yeah warranty service can be hard if you take the card out of its zone.

Been a while since I had that happen but a card or teo purchased on usa ebay back in early mining days not north american zone and warranty were not honored.

be careful.

Each manufacturer is different, Asus only honors in that country you purchsaed from, so if you have a warranty issue you'd have to ship it back to that countries RMA site.
