I already know how to vent a mining room after many different attempts. The question about the hybrid's is for future build outs in a small space.

I guess the answer is it makes no difference which gpu's you use (hybrid or air cooled) as far as the room temp is concerned.

I'm a little surprised by this as you would think that the gpu processor running cooler would relate to the hybrid gpu not giving off as much heat. The gpu processors are where the heat comes from with these cards.

Come on buddy, were you born yesterday?Huh You sound like you think some magical force will "delete" the heat... lol wtf

The GPU core still gives off the SAME heat!!! Water cooling is just a more efficient way of removing that heat away from the core. Water is more dense than air and thus, liquid cooling is superior. The heat will simply be dissipated through the radiator.

A water cooled setup will heat a room to the same temp that an equivalent air cooled card would. But the water cooled unit will likely be slighty faster at doing so.

Im concerned for your day to day wellbeing if you dont understand the basics of life like this. This is middle school shit.

Assuming same heat output between a normal GPU and a hybrid-cooling GPU, and assuming that hybrid-cooling is more efficient at pulling heat away from the GPU and dissipating it, then they hybrids would heat up the room much quicker.  If there was absolutely no ventilation in the room then eventually it will reach equilibrium.... when would be different for each setup.  At least that's how I understand it.

However, the idea here is not to see how toasty the room can be... the idea is to vent the heat from the GPU to the room, then from the room to the outside.  Good luck reaching equilibrium between your GPU and the rest of the outside world  Grin Roll Eyes

So a rig of 6 1080ti hybrids would heat up a small space slower than a 6 1080ti rig, but ultimately the room would reach the same temp?

I could be wrong, but my thinking is this:

Assuming a closed or limited ventilation room, the quicker the GPU heat gets pulled from the card and dissipated to the air, the quicker the room heats up but until equilibrium is reached, the GPUs run cooler than others that don't vent heat as quickly/efficiently.  The speed at which the room heats up depends on the heat amount, dissipation speed, room volume, and ambient temp.

All of this calculation can be then thrown out of whack when you open the door or open a window or add a fan/exhaust system as all of a sudden, the room volume and/or ambient temp. changes!  Law of thermodynamics, sure, but when you're venting heat into a room that is venting heat out the window while drawing in cool air from the landing or corridor, I don't think the mining rig can warm the room faster than you can cool it so equilibrium might take a while Smiley

So while more efficient coolers can turn the room warmer quicker, the idea isn't to see how toasty the room can get Wink

The Cards themselves stay remarkably cooler though,
These following 10 cards are all EVGA 1070ti SC Hybrids,
Overclocked to
Core +180
Memory +1300
Power Limit(watt) 113 watts per card,
Running Under SMOS

and here are the results for those ten cards, look at those temps, and these run 24 hours a day,

I know Hybrid GPU's keep the graphics processor cool but do they also keep the mining space cool? I would think they would keep it cooler than non-Hybrid GPU's. Any miners have experience with this?  Huh

water cooling doesn't make heat magically disappear from the universe.  the laws of thermodynamics  are still applicable.

No, your room gets warmer due to more efficient heat dissipation into the atmosphere.
