I understand that but how do I go about doing that. I've no idea what I'm doing at all thanks

Although I did use Multibit HD in the past, I can barely remember how the user experience was....so correct me if I'm wrong here.

Multibit HD used to give users the ability to create different wallets/accounts (not to be confused by addresses). Right?

If so, then it's quite possible (a big maybe) that the funds are in one of those wallets

You can try to restore the wallet the same way you did, but instead of leaving the default derivation path (as shown here in step number 2.b[1]), try to change the last number in it to 1, 2, 3 etc. and see if you manage to find your funds.

This is like asking me where you put your keychain last night.... You'll have to retrace your own steps.

ive found a sent transaction for 31mbtc and i think its gone to a wallet i own. how do i find out if the wallet receiving the 31mbtc is mine?
The only way to know for sure you own that address, is by finding the wallet it belongs to.

If you have 6.49 mBTC then that should be around ~600$ with the current rates. That's probably the 300GBP you had stored.

The 6 words you have are not going to be of any help on their own, unless you used them as an extension to your original seedphrase then in that case, maybe. Although I don't believe Multibit HD had that feature?

i think its 90p! oh dear.

well i have also found 6 mnemonic words.
if anyone can help me in telling me how i use them to access the wallet or coins maybe my other coins are in that one

or if someone could help me analyse my transfers from my wallets i might be able to find these missing coins.
i had someone help me back in 2020/2021 and advised i had around £300 worth of coins so im sure i have some somewhere

Look at the bottom of the wallet, that's where you can see your overall balance. Pay close attention to the unit though. is it mBTC, BTC, etc.? Or you could just go to the preferences and change them so you can see everything in fiat as well.
