Increase amount of BTC, ETH and other coins from top-10 according to market cap. If market will go down, you can lose a lot with unknown coins. Better to create more stable financial portfolio.

You have good sets of coins, though the only issue for me is the Small bags in which carrying the top coins but you only has small amounts,i think whats better thing to do,when every coins that you have to be sell, then the proceeds will be for buying another top coins,so what happens all your holding materials are those coins that designed for long term

I believe that if you have a steady income, then it is better for you to buy new coins and expand their list. Because cryptocurrencies with the growth of bitcoin prices will also start to grow but faster than bitcoin and you, having bought them today, can get a good profit in a few months. I also bought DIME, XVG, ETN, I believe that they will rise in price in the future.

This is so funny. What is the meaning of so many coins? Half of them just do not have a name. It is necessary to take only that coin which has got stronger and the price has fixed in the market. I would invest only in BTC ETH ETN

You split the portfolio as well, but it looks like you invested too much shitcoin eg COLX, DV7, DIME, AERIUM, XCPO, I really never knew them. Shitcoins can be highly profitable when pumped but are too risky because of too low liquidity. I advise you not to keep these long-term coins. I give some altcoins suggestion under $ 1 you should refer to eg ADA, XLM, NEM, ZRX, ENJ. The coin should hold like NANO, EOS, Qtum, OMG, ICX and LSK. And top coin like ETH, NEO, LTC, XMR ...

thank you.

Why is ADA rated so much? high max supply would take forever to get to a decent price. Unless i'm completely wrong and you can enlighten me?

You can see in early January 2018 the market cap in addition to $ 800 billion, Xrp $ 3.6 with the supply of nearly 40 billion tokens, and ADA also reached ATH $ 1.2 with 25 billion tokens. Therefore, with good coin supply is not the decisive factor to evaluate.
ADA as the first blockchain with peer reviewed tech and it an ambitious platform. ADA's blockchain 3.0 technology has a strong team and strong community. With the market recovering, the ADA will have more updates on the roadmap coming, I think its value will increase significantly.

Hi All,

I have the following coins but i'm always insecure thinking that i have the wrong coins or need to expand my portfolio further because my coin choice is poor . I am long term Holder, so let me know what you think of my portfolio:

Big bags

XVG
ETN
COLX
DV7
DIME

Medium bags

UTK
SIACOIN
REBL
XTRABYTES
AERIUM
XRP
IOT
XEM
XCPO

Small bags

Better try to move ETH and BTC into your big bag. They had more potential than your coins.

Ohhhh goodness, are you ready from some criticism that might sting? It's all in good faith.

Your portfolio is actually pretty terrible.  There are two main problems: you have some very poor coin choices and the proportions are way off.

So for Problem #1: go through your coins and get rid of any coin that doesn't have an actual product or working platform.  Here's why: The crypto market has matured a LOT last year and investors (particularly big institutional investors) are demanding companies to actually show something.  You will see that the coins that perform well this year and on are the ones that actually have a use case and working business model.

Another thing: Take a serious look at your coins and look at their competition, for example XVG  is hilariously bad when compared to Monero.

For Problem #2: You eventually want to cash out right? What that means is that you need to have one coin that is the foundation of your portfolio.  The only two real choices at this time is btc or eth.  Choose which one you will cash out in and reearrange your portfolio to be 40 to 60% of that coin.  Going forward, any future altcoin purchases or trades will be in that coin.  Remember, the value of coins you see is only the value of btc (sometimes eth).

Another thing: I'm not sure how much you have put in total, but it seems that you have way too many coins.  Unless you actively day trade, you will find better profit margins by focusing on around 5 coins.  For long term holders, you want to pick the coins with highest long term sustainable profit.

Overall Solution: After evaluating your portfolio and deciding what to move, sell, or keep, just wait until the next bull run, should happen soon or at the latest next month.  Make some strategic trades into btc or eth (whichever is your foundation coin) for profit.  Then use that to buy new coins or more of a coin you have, than hold.  When the end of the year bull rush comes, sell EVERYTHING!  Then next year Feb 2019, when the market crashes, take that money you earned and buy the exact same coins and you will see the value of your portfolio go to huge heights.

That's how you long term hodl yo.

thanks buddy.

I will try and replicate this. I am going to be getting rid of XVG this weekend and putting the money into NEO or atleast ETH.

If you had my portfolio what would you do?

Whatever you have right now is perfect and given the current state of market I am sure your coins are increasing in the value. The IOT token specifically has been increasing tremendously and I am sure you made good money from that particular coin. Apart from that ETH and BTC too have shown some outstanding growth.

It is too risky to take for granted how bitcoin can dump these altcoins, you should have big bags of bitcoin so that if the market are going to fail your portfolio wont be safe,as far as i can tell your coins are most of the altcoins some shitcoins, less bitcoin high risk of losing big part of your portfolio when a bloody market has happened.I got 70% bitcoin and 30% altcoins in my portfolio.

I don't like the fact i can only buy parts of a BTC and not a whole or a few. So i am banking on other coins that i have high amounts of to move up a little then it will allow me to buy the better coins and more of BTC.

Cryptocurrency is the most valuable in my point of you. So we must always monitor our investment because any huge dump is possible in anytime so we must alert ourself and we must exchange our coin in some critical situation. Because one or two coins are easily maintain in anytime but number of coins are investing and different ratio of split to the investment is hard to monitor in current scenario. If you think some altcoins are not suit for your portfolio just exchange to Bitcoin because this is always trusted cryptocurrency.

About half of these coins, I have never even heard. However, if you invested in them, it means that you studied them thoroughly enough. If you came to the conclusion that they are promising and profitable, then OК. If you bought them simply because they liked you or you heard some rumors, then I would transfer investments in more famous coins.

Those are pretty good bags and what I would do is look at ICOBENCH and check out each category they have for coins, like what industries and maybe add coins from each industry. I want to for example over the next few weeks focus on a few blockchain type ones like cardano, ven, eos, iot, nebulous etc and then on some privacy coins, then some exchange coins etc. I think also you should check out ETHOS as their universal wallet is coming soon and that might just be a nice little bag for you to also hold long term because it will help bring crypto mainstream.

THANK YOU, didn't know about ICOBENCH. I'll check it out.

Cheers

Nice crypto portfolio bro! You have so many coins, I wonder how you manage to track all of them  Tongue ? I hope you really had a chance to sell your XVG bag before it started dumping after the Verge's partnership announcement ))
As for me I would add Fusion (FSN) to your bag. It has all the chances to beat Wanchain. It is currently traded on Bibox, IDEX, Cobinhood. And soon will be added to Qryptos platform..
Good luck

thank you man.

I just collected a load to sleep on.

XVG, i didn't sell thinking it's going to be PAYPAL or Amazon but i'm still making money from it so will spend it over the weekend hopefully.

I'll look into FSN

having this many coins (40-50) and calling it "portfolio" is wrong and you should feel insecure about it because you are increasing your risk by buying and bag holding this many coins. even 5 coins is too much in my experience because altcoins mostly move for a short time and individually so for example if you hold X and X gets pumped if you have 5 coins you will see it and dump it immediately and take the profit but if you have 50 coins you will miss it and won't be able to dump to take profit and will lose the chance.

Not if he's a long term holder, occasional pumps and dumps shouldn't be taken into account. However, coin (and token, as I see a few ERC20 tokens there) choice is highly questionable IMO.

TBH, i like to hold for a few years and see where my coins are at. But again not sure if that is the correct approach.

BTC
ETH
NEO
ADA

Medium bags

XRP
IOT
XEM
XCPO
XMR
MIOTA

Small bags

BAX
COSS

thank you for your reply.

Some good coins there, I've got the budget for ADA but not too sure about it. Either that or TRON.

Would love XMR and more BTC but not cheap and would be costly getting them to be my high bags or even Medium.

Your suggested small bags are  good too.

Out of interest, what quantity of coins would you say you need to have for each: high, medium and low bags. I know it would be different for each person.

So BTC, how many would i need for it to qualify for the 'High bags'?

Dont think its good have XVG in Big Bags afther all this we saw Verge did with Pornhub they look like scamers who make money with pump and dump anyway t think this way.

I wouldn't say they're scammers or anything. The coin has been around for some time so definitely here to stay. The partnership is big but for me it's no go area.

I got XVG when it was cheaper and i've made money from it.

some insight into the bags i'm holding,

I made roughly 15k on my balance in December, minus what i spent buying the coins, and my coins didn't even get out of first gear. (obviously the balance has dropped due to the long correction this year but i'm sure my balance will be back up and hopefully surpass what i show in Dec).

I have the following coins but i'm always insecure thinking that i have the wrong coins or need to expand my portfolio further because my coin choice is poor .
You are insecure and worried about the wrong coins and you want to expand your portfolio? You shouldn't expand it since you got the wrong coins and you may fall to the wrong coins again. I'm only familiar with 3 on your big bags, XVG which I sold most, ETH (I don't have it) and DIME which I sold already since there's a very few volume in it.
and over 40 free coins from airdrops.
Free coins is a good addition to your total holding but I don't think getting more than 10 coins is very effective. Stick to the bigger coins though you have few coins to hold but gains will be bigger, you should convert your big bags to small bags and vice versa.

The free coins are easy to get, worth the risk incase one kicks off.

You think coins like UTK, Rebl etc are wrong coins? Strange.
I'm not saying that those coins are wrong coins and I used that word to generalize that there's some coins that he chose wrongly. Look at the current state of those coins in the market, talking about their (%).
And what I just gave my opinion about the big bag coins that he has and about those medium bags. I don't want to discuss with it, I gave my suggestion on what I think will be beneficial to him and you guys are free to decline it if you think its bad to your trading habit.

What makes you feel to put only a little amount to the major crypto consider it can be back again at the top and give you more than 3x from the bottom price. It's a horrible portfolio. Sell your verge and that's useless coin i recommend you to put your big bag list to the major cryptocurrency, it's not too late before it will be back again to the peak. But it may better waiting for another correction.

Diversifying is crucial for good financial management.

However, in crypto I see the diversifying a bit different - in my opinion, most of your coins should be proven and serious, which is not the case in your list.

Well in your big bags XVG and ETH is cool to have good that you have that, while in your medium bags XEM,SIACOIN and XRP must be awaited because of their potential.

The sad thing here is you small bags in which whats inside is the greatest coins to give you huge amounts of income..

For the big bags, I can only say of the first two, and ETN though is still making promises as far as I am concerned. The last three, you may really need to check the main idea of the product/project, as well as the team to make that decision yourself if you are holding a shitcoin or not.

Your medium bag is not that bad, but I can really say that for SC, REBL, IOT and XEM. I purposely excluded XRP because it is a centralized coin, but the choice is yours and for the rest, do your diligence to be sure you are actually not bagholding as I mentioned in the first paragraph.

And your small bags? Really? Anyway, since you said that is what you can afford, but those are some of the coins you should really be having more in your folio. Everyone have what they look for in arranging their portfolio anyway, so you may probably have one.

I'm thinking of getting rid of XVG and put the money into ETH. I am a long term holder so happy to wait for some of these.

Everyone have what they look for in arranging their portfolio anyway, so you may probably have one.

in your Big bag I would have moved the ETH, NEO and BTC. Of those coins you have in your big bag, all I know is XVG. I think these altcoins are very risky.

I would love too. But to make these into big bags would be costly. My late coming to the crypto world didn't help.

It's way too aggressive, maybe 25% BTC, 50% Good Altcoin, and 25% Shitcoin will give more balance to your portfolio
Highly investing in shitcoin is risky imo

Hi All,

I have the following coins but i'm always insecure thinking that i have the wrong coins or need to expand my portfolio further because my coin choice is poor . I am long term Holder, so let me know what you think of my portfolio:

Big bags

XVG
ETN
COLX
DV7
DIME

Medium bags

UTK
SIACOIN
REBL
XTRABYTES
AERIUM
XRP
IOT
XEM
XCPO

Small bags

BTC
ETH
NEO
WAVES

(small bags is what i could afford)

and over 40 free coins from airdrops.

Thanks

it's funny but there are so many coins out there that I simply never heard of 1/3 of your portfolio Smiley However it seems you have biggest bags of lesser known currencies, which can be pretty risky.

The biggest bags ones where i got in early and got loads cheap. Smaller bags are where i was late to the party Smiley
