I just made my bitcointalk account with a real email address but I ain’t seen no option to verify it yet to secure it up. Everything’s working fine though. I’m about to set up 2FA (got Authy ready for download). Do I still need to verify my email, or is 2FA all I need to keep my account secure ?

For now, the 2FA is the only available security feature on BitcoinTalk... Just make sure the Gmail you use is a valid one, meaning you have access to it. This will help you recover your account if you get hacked or forgot your password. You can also stake your Bitcoin wallet address on the forum to show proof of ownership when this happens.

As long as the email you use is correct, it’s fine. The 2FA is just an added security feature; if there’s a need for that, don’t hesitate to add it up. Bitcointalk doesn’t send email verification messages, as far as I know.
