I have a couple different sales threads, but I do my best not to bump them (especially the ones on the same board) at the same time. I generally try to space them out, so that I don't clutter a board exactly as you've pointed out. I would have no problem with there being some more stringent guidelines on this sort of thing.

I don't think 1 is the appropriate number for every board, since some people sell goods of varied categories. This should apply to more than the currency exchange board, it should also apply to the lending section and some others. I would think this wouldn't be fair for the auctions board, but we could change the rules about bumping. It might be more reasonable that you are not allowed to bump more than 1 thread every 4-hours and never the same one more than once a day.

The way it is now allows scammers, spammers or people that are just desperate to get their threads noticed free reign over any board as long as their topics/goods are not identical.

Those sellers whom you have marked is selling different items thus created different threads.
But I saw one of the seller in digital goods who created 10s of threads to sell his domains.... 1 thread = 1 domain.

One seller can create one thread as his Bitcointalk SHOP and sell all his products. I don't see any need for multiple threads for multiple products.

Your concern is very reasonable and there should be some new rule on this issue.

Does this rule apply to Currency exchange only?
2. Do not have more than one active sales topic. If you need more visibility, you can bump your thread every 24 hours.

Or does it apply to every subcategory of Marketplace? I really think it should, or there should be a limit, even if it's not just 1. Let me explain my point this way:

At least users should be allowed to bump every 24h only one of their threads and link all the others from there.
