I am expecting some sort of altcoin board to check each and every new coin before releasing to public include the following check list

1) Coin specs (Premine, any hidden premine, block reward etc)

2) IPO's

3) Capability of dev (Now a days most of them recruiting dev's to develop new coin after release this dev escapes)

May more

As said, this won't likely be enough. IPO's are the nr. 1 preferred method of distribution for any POS coin. Can't just rule them out.

funny thing, those investors are even more of a scammers than who made the ipo

I don't get it?
How are they more of a scammer that the ones running the scam?

because they want to dump as a soon as a possible, to return their investment, this usually lead to the dead of the coin

I would call them opportunistic hyenas at most , not scammers.

Be warned that mr. Edgecoin now has time on his hands again, after his latest creation, NFDcoin, just ended. The NFD scam was incredibly sophisticated in a sense that it even fooled me. (only for 22$ but still)

So here we have a forum in which mr. Edgecoin, once he's finished with his champagne and cigar, is undoubtedly already plotting his next scheme, and a forum in which lots of people will try and copycat.

In other words: it is more difficult to pull of a scam now than it was a couple months ago due to awareness, and as a result, scammers are honing their skills.

Scammers have been using escrow for some time now to establish trust and count on people 'investing' directly since people are greedy.

Recently Goalcoin went as far as using a hacked/purchased Hero Member account as 'escrow agent'.

I would advise anyone to continue investing in alt-coin IPOs, but to just assume they are a scam unless you can convince yourself they aren't.

Use a seasoned escrow for any 'investment' above a certain amount, depending on your financial situation. I put it at 0.06 for myself as of now. It's the amount of money I'd be OK with to lose on a gambling machine.

Of course this means you'll lose 25% to the escrow agent but in an environment where 90% of IPOs are a scam, the returns on a legit one are such that you won't even feel it.

who can tell me something

It seems it wasn't a scam.
Best way to avoid a fake ipo is to always use an escrow.

It's ok to invest in IPO as long as coin dev and investors both agreed to use a reputable escrow. There are plenty of them available.  Smiley

There have been so many IPO scams where the DEV ran off with 1-2 BTC.  I just ignore them all together now.

For your own safety, do not invest in threads that offer an IPO investment model unless you're absolutely sure what you're doing. No matter how trustworthy a particular presentation may seem, the risk to lose your investment is extremely high. It is saddening to see the altcoin forums pestered by these hoaxes, but equally saddening to see vast participance. Rule of thumb: Ignore IPO threads.

You may post links to highly suspicious threads in this topic to warn others.

Recent Scams (to be updated):

* StackCoin | amount scammed: 70.00112831

I've run out of facepalms to facepalm. I just do not understand how this keeps happening over and over again.

You'd think after Visacoin people would learn. These IPO scams need to be deleted as soon as they appear. All of them except the ones publicised elsewhere are scams. It's getting beyond a joke now.
