I did a whois lookup on the site, found out they were using Cloudflare. Reported them to Cloudflare, and found out their hosting provider. Reported to the hosting provider. Reported also to Google for good measure. Reported all links on twitter, and associated account of supposed owner(or claimed owner). About a week later I get an email from the hosting provider that it has been taken care of! Check out the site again if you don’t believe me.

Bitcoin FTW!
What a scam.
Their text box is coded in a way that even you just put a single number of 1 or 3, it still go through the process and were replace by their own address.

Sadly they have already accumulated some free depo amounting to 0.4+ btc

How the hell did they reached the top 3 rank result? and even have a google ads on their website. Ridiculous.
It's not extremely difficult to get a high search result on search engines if you have someone doing SEO (Search Engine Optimization) on your website, which can be somewhat costly but the scam's likely covering the costs, and there are many sites out there with Google ads on their websites that shouldn't be there. If a report is made to the site, there is a chance that they'll have ad revenue cut though or something of the sort.

You need to notify Google, their hosting address will be banned
Google doesn't ban shit. Google doesn't have any rights to ban stuff. All they do is black-list the site from their search-engine and notify the central hosting services about the fraudulent practices on the site after a thorough investigation. This investigation may take days and site will still be accessible via a browser. Maybe you will be warned by your anti-virus service before continuing to the site.

Next time don't use a random website at all (like the one you are recommending).

Either use a trusted and open source tool or something like Blockchain.info's explorer to generate the QR code. Also, double checking if the QR code matches with your address should be a requirement.

Do not use them. It gives you the QR code for their donation wallet instead. I don't know how they got to literally the third result on Google but they're wankers. Just sent $200 dollars to them by accident. Aaargh!

They make legitimate QR websites like my own look really bad. I always encourage people to scan the qr to see if it matches with the address you input. Next time try https://cwaqrgen.com

cheers

There are some blogs use btcfrog to generate their own QR code but they didn't know that the generated QR code is not their own bitcoin address this site must be reported to google about their service and report the domain email [email protected]
This is the only way to make their website down and let google rank remove this site from ranking because when searching using this keyword "GENERATE BITCOIN QR CODES" the site show in the 3rd place and the site was ranking because it has enough backlinks linked from any blog and few sites.

That's some neat way to scam lol I wonder how many addresses were generated against their own wallets.
Lesson Learned: Use your own QR code generators using an open source project https://github.com/soldair/node-qrcode Either way, it's always a safe practice to re-verify the generated QR code on your end first.

BTCFrog being high up in the search results is probably just good use of search engine optimization (SEO) or just plain luck without them doing anything. I suspect it's likely just the former and they're doing it to lure more people in to their scam, but the best advice I can give you is to use a site that you know provides consistent, legit QR codes in the future, and ALWAYS double- or triple-check addresses and amounts when sending or generating anything in regards to a transaction. It's essentially second nature for me to double-check my transactions, and I haven't fatfingered anything in quite some time.

Why would you be needing to use a web based QR code maker in the first place? As far as I'm aware just about every wallet has the ability to show a QR code of whatever address you select...

The only way people will find out is if it's more visible. I just tested it and it did the same. It's pretty high up in search results too.

Yeah they change it, i try to use my address and it change to another address.
This is when i want to try it

it changed to this address after i click "Show QR Code"

I suggest to stay away from this site. Well, usually some wallet already give you a qr code, so no need to generate it from 3rd site.
