So I see that people tend to post their addresses on various sites for donations and things like that. I tend to see alot of BTC and ETH address, and some other alts too. This made me wonder whether people actually donate cryptocurrency for things other than ICO's/airdrops?

Given that this forum probably started in the beginning of crypto, did you have an experience where you posted your address somewhere (non airdrop/ non ICO) and people would donate BTC/ETH or something else? Maybe also if you donated/gave crypto to another person without expecting anything in return?

So to answer my own question:

* Posted my ETH/BTC/DOGE addresses in different places, nobody donates (lol)
* Didn't donate myself to a random project, nor to a random person's address

I am thinking that this used to happen in the past, but now that crypto is so highly valued people tend to keep their holdings instead of donating it/giving it away?

I figured that this is a nice history question to ask to see how the feeling of cryptocurrency changed over time.
