I'm actually looking on how can I disable the receiving message like I've been receiving messages from random people and it's annoying. I know there's something like this but I can't find it.
I do not think telegram has this feature yet. At the moment, those who are restricted from sending random messages are those reported for spamming. Someone already mentioned removing your username as one way of reducing this but that won't prevent other people in the same telegram group from sending messages to you.

It may help a little but unfortunately unless you trust that user does not post your Telegram ID publicly or avoid joining any group.
I heard that there is an update to Whatsapp application to prevent others from adding you to groups, it may be added to the telegram in order to prevent anyone from adding you unless you add yourself to that group.

And usually bots, specifically if they have such 'asdfg' 'fbfbfbfb' username.
Thanks for this but I'm actually looking on how can I disable the receiving message like I've been receiving messages from random people and it's annoying. I know there's something like this but I can't find it.
If you have username they can search your telegram easily and if you remove your username they can still message you by searching your telegram name but it's different when you have username set on your telegram. Anyway, the best solution is to don't mind the random people that message you in telegram. After all, telegram is a messaging platform but you can suggest the telegram to add a feature that you block random people to message you.

From my observation, those without usernames are usually spammers.

The Images you provide are rather blurry but still readable though. Well, it's not necessarily to provide images since I provided images of each step to follow but still the images you provide is helpful to those who are lazy to search for a thread here in the forum or in google.

Thank you and welcome!

Another option is to not add any username.
Yes you may also do this. Just know that there's a higher chance that you'll get kicked out. Some telegram groups have an anti-bot system in placed and one of the requirement is having a username. From my observation, those without usernames are usually spammers.

I'm still seeing some ICOs launching a telegram "ADD" bounty campaign and I feel sorry for those who are being added without their consent. I thought this was pretty basic but it seems many are still unaware that they can set who can add them. So if you are very much active on telegram and you do not want your account getting dragged by these abusive hunters, do the following steps:

1. Go to your Settings
2. Click "Privacy and Security"
3. Click "Groups"
4. Select who can invite you to groups and channels (choose "My contacts")

i hope this helps.

Much needed...! I haven't searched how to do it or tried to look into the TG settings before because of my busy life.

Every day my mood gets off when I open up TG. So many groups/channels added me without my consent, it's uncountable.

+1 merit for bringing it up in front of me. Thanks!

Another option is to not add any username. Never engage in any bounty or airdrop campaign and join any crypto related channel/group. If you do those, it is likely that you won't get added by random people to crypto group/channel.

You can always see in the group which member added you. Always report them to Telegram. If they PM you, report it as spam.

If you receive a PM from someone and you are not sure if they are legit or belong to a group you are part of, click on their username and check if you have any groups in common. If you don't it is a scammer! Those scammers don't subscribe to groups because they use similar usernames as the group admins and would be banned soon after subscribing. They just browse around different groups contacting members who are new and asking for help.
Well, it actually happen to me that someone PMed me and ask if I am a trader and I said "NO" then that telegram user never replied anything at all and few days later the I check the profile again but it's deleted account. It still happen that someone PM me even though I already change my settings about who can add me to groups to "My Contacts".

Truth be told it would be rear or impossible for a genuine project to add you up with out your consent. Telegram is a hub for scammers they are daily scouting for prospective victim.
Even if you set your privacy to prevent being added into any group your defence doesn't stop there even in a genuine group you can still be defrauded by members.
Always be security conscious and do the needful without hesitation... Block and report spam
