Probably there could be some account that will definitely left behind because there were no email provided when they registered their accounts on BCT forum. I think they have to make an email for their account first before they can do some update with their email on new BCT forum.

This is what  I have been reading all along with the posts and comments regarding on the new forum. It is indeed had already plan to create a new forum for cryptocurrency discussions. I bet that the new forum will meet the expectations of the users and that is the improvements and better look of the forum.

This is really exciting to have a new forum for cryptocurrency discussions.

Do we need to re-register for the new beta forum?
No. You will only need to reset your account password.

Everything else will be the same (including your rank - probably).

You can use any email in the current forum and no verification is required.
Can we login using the same credentials here in bitcointalk.org? I wanna give it a try to see the email function of the beta forum.
The beta forum URL it's not working anymore.

But you would need to reset your password to login and try it out.

I read somewhere that in order to use new forum, users are required to update their email and it should be functional.Does it means new forum will have feature to login via email?
Can we test the new forum if we update our email?
How do you think the current forum works  ?  On the contrary, I would love to see the new forum to have a feature where people can singup without an email address by forum automatically assigning them an unique identifier per IP per account. The advantage would be, people would not be able to create multiple accounts from the same IP.

I think this is the right thing to do. We should have email to update the new forum. When updating by email, our identity is confirmed. This ensures the safety and trust of the forum. Do not be afraid of the impostors do bad.

Yes.. the registered email have to be active and functional because you could send a personal massage directly to you email or notifying you that something have gone wrong with your users whereas if a massage is being deleted they notifying you through your email that your massage have been deleted from this forum based on one or two things. In as much as retrieval of your account, maybe you lost you pin or password you can recover it through mail.

Yes, go to beta.bitcointalk.org and reset your password. You will get an email telling where it tells you how to change your password (for beta only), and than login afterward.

I would like to try the beta, but it does not work for me. I'm getting this error:

"Error: Abuse Detected. You have been banned from performing this action. Please contact an administrator."

What shall I do ?
